Summary: i had heard that this game was supposed to be great. I don't know what everyone sees in this game. The plasmid took too long to refill in battle and it couldn't be used while shooting. The story wasn't intriguing amd it had average graphics. It was nothing special.
Summary: Yes this game is great, but I would recommend you not purchase this, since this game was released for quite some time. The 360 version is at ***** and the PS3 is at ***** with ** dollars for downloadables. Total waste of money. Its pointless to spend so much for a product that is over priced. Even the PC version is cheaper and there is no brand new content that is on the PS3 version.
Summary: At the risk of going against the grain, I wasn't overly impressed with this game. Don't get me wrong, it is good, I just don't see what the fuss is about. There are many other games that I would say are better than this one. I may be a little biased as I have never really been a fan of first person shooters so the fact that I like this at all is a minor miracle.
Excerpt: "... And this is what sets Bioshock apart from the other first person shooters out there - moral choice. At various points in the game you have the choice of helping characters for a small benefit, or killing them and reaping a much larger reward. The problem is, there are no incentives or punishments for either course of action until the final cutscene, by which point it doesn't really matter. And it's all so black and white - you're either hailed as ...
Pros: Good graphics, atmospheric sound
Cons: No replay value, not half as clever as it pretends to be
Summary: You have to ask yourself the question, is this game worth buying soo long after it had been released for the Xbox 360? Well i can tell you that i bought this game with the preconceived vision that I'd be subjected to an engrossing story accompanied with awesome graphics and game play. This was in fact the case, however i found myself trawling through the game rather than really getting into it.
Summary: Bioshock is worth playing through at least once, but not much more after that. Released over a year after the Xbox 360 version the PS3 has only a few small meaningles tonicss (optional various boost to abilities) added to it. Many of the problems raised by the original version still remain.
Summary: so this was bundled with my ps3, if it wasnt i probably wouldny of ever played this game. It is an excellent game, upto the last 2-3 levels were it seems to drag on to much, and get dull and repetitive - lots of going back / forth and using weapons that done seem that powerful. Some nice initive touches like the hacking of machines, saving or harvesting little sisters.
Summary: Is the only word to describe this game. It must have cost a lot of money to buy all of the 10/10 reviews for this because the experience I had while playing was about a 6/10. Sure it has a cool art style and nice atmosphere but if you aren't a shallow superficial moron like all the reviewers were you will see that bioshock is an extremely average, generic shooter under all of its shiny gloss and hype.
Summary: OK well we all know this game has got a high percentage of 10/10 reviews. For me though this game wore thin after about a week. Rapture is an underwater city with an art deco design that works very well, unfortunately there is not much to explore and in reality it is a linear set of tunnels and cramped environments with back tracking and repetition.
