Summary: Why did I hate this game? -No ADS. And perhaps the most obtuse control scheme ever. You jump with triangle for crying out loud. -Endless fetchquests -Confusing level layout -Tedius and boring minigames -Repetitive gameplay -Repetitive enemies Don't believe the hype. Buy the much improved BioShock:Infinite instead.
Summary: I cannot believe that I confused popularity with quality and bought this on the strength of it's high rating. I should have rented it first, anyone thinking of wasting money on it should at least consider doing that. I like the Steampunk/Art Deco aesthetic but it's badly rendered, there's something flat about the graphics that make enemies hard to see through the lumpen murk. As another reviewer put it, it's difficult for the wrong reasons.
Summary: This is a terrible game. I read loads of reviews before buying it and I did play for about 3-4 hours but I hated every minute of it. After you get over that its an underwater city you get bored. The story is basically non existent. Its just a load of crazy people running around an empty city with robots and little girls. You cant fight properly either as you have no sense of where the enemies are and usually you'll be half dead before you realise you are being attacked.
