Summary: Sure the story is rough in a few areas but I love this game because its absolute CHEEZE. Everything is so ridiculous and corny, look I know it wasnt intentional....but I DONT CARE, this game is cheezy and very fun. The controls are great, the mechanics are for the most part very fun. I just love the fact that the only thing going for you is a bionic arm, yet you still kick everyones ass simply because your Radd freaking spencer.
Summary: Sure, it takes a few minutes to master the arm. It can even be a blast just to swing around at times. The enemies aren't too hard and the level design itself is the real challenge. The problem is that some of the swings have to be perfectly times, and the levels are full of 'hot zones' that are radiated. If you miss a jump and land in the water, or if you swing yourself deep into a radiated zone, you'll find yourself starting back at the last checkpoint.
Summary: After seeing this game for the first time, I thought it looked pretty darn appealing. Unfortunately, this is when your original look deceives you. I first started out trying the multiplayer. Nobody was playing! That was saying a lot as is. So I just brushed that off and went onto the campaign. The story is lacking. You play as Nathan Spencer, a bionic who has been in prison for five years.
Summary: I’d like to point out that the average review for 360 on this game is about 7.5, the average ps3 is about 8.6 (at time of this review) maybe ps3 is slightly different, maybe the ps3 players who reviewed this are a bit more open minded. Either way my review is based on the 360 version, but I’m pretty sure they are same game (but ps3 of coarse would get better graphics).
Summary: I should have learned by now that Capcom doesn't really know how to make next-gen games yet. I've found myself looking for a lot more out of their latest games than I actually get from them. Bionic Commando is no exception. Feeling nostalgic for the NES classic, I thought I'd take a chance on this re-imagining...and now I wish I hadn't. The storyline is boring, the characters are wallpaper and the graphics leave much to be desired even for Capcom.
Summary: Bionic Commando is an action-adventure game that uses several mechanics to keep the players within the confines of a linear level design. Nathan Spencer is able to target enemies while hanging, climbing a building or even in mid-swing, while using an implement called the Bionic Arm. You could say the game is like Spider Man with guns, so if you hate Spider Man games I would recommend you stay away from this title.
Summary: At first i thought it was going to be as much fun as the NES version. It did not blow my mind. i wasn't as addicted as i was with the first one. Played a couple of levels and then got discouraged.
Summary: The game definitely lacks polish and at this point nobody plays mutliplayer. If you can get the game for about $10 it does have some interesting gameplay mechanics. Better than a PSN download but not worthy to be a retail title. Once you get the hang of the bionic arm it is pretty fun to play. Although the game looks like it is a big open sandbox game it is pretty linear with radiation being used as invisble walls to keep you from straying too far from the beaten path.
Summary: It's a solid game as long as you don't expect too much out of it. The gameplay is a little on the shallow side, but that doesn't stop it from being B movie fun. There were some annoyances throughout, such as when you completed a challenge, or got a collectible you had to make it to the next autosave for it to count. Not a huge deal but somewhat annoying when you completed a challenge at a more difficult part.
