  • Summary: A side-scrolling 2d platformer/shooter Bionic Commando Rearmed is a great update to a series that made its debut in the late 80's with the bionic arm, which has a whole host of uses such as traversing large gaps or grabbing enemies, really helping the game to stand out from other titles in the genre. As an added bonus the entire game can even be played in a well implemented local co-op mode.

  • Summary: (My weird english vs. Weird game) The graphics is pretty good, and the shooting is not bad, but there is no jump button. I can jump.. a weak 5 years old kid can jump. And The Bionic GODD*MN Commando, he can't jump. He is an elite soldier, for god sake! He can't even jump! He need to use his bionic arm, to jump over a simply box! It's.. i mean, what is this?

  • Summary: I brought this game because when i was a youngster i had Bionic Commando game for Nintendo Game Boy, and i love it, But when i brought this thinking it be a little better because of today's technology, Boy, i was unhappy, it's similar, but the game play, and swinging, just wasn't it, it was bad....

  • Summary: The arm was a cool and well designed mechanic but playing through a vast early section of the game being able to do little to nothing really killed the momentum for me. The swinging environment was cool but the levels too small, so essentially you are just swinging in a straight line or you die from radiation, whilst this was fun briefly people suggesting negative reviews are based on people being unable to play properly are wrong, the mechanics of it were simple and...

  • Summary: I wanted to like this game but it is killed by the same crappy control scheme that the original NES version was infamous for. Back in those NES glory days, we kids never questioned why a bionic commando would be unable to jump or climb over an obstacle. Now, though, it’s stupid and frustrating. Many positive reviews celebrate this as being a “hard” game, but all of its difficulty stems from the crappy controls. It shouldn’t be rewarded for bad design.

  • Summary: They did a surprisingly good job executing the grapple arm in a 3D environment. After completing the outstanding 'Bionic Commando: Rearmed', I was eager to see if Grin, the developer, could transfer the swing mechanic into the third-dimension. 8 hours later to beat the game on Hard difficulty, I can confirm they did. No other game does it better, not even the Spider-Man games. There is a learning curve due to the free-form nature of the swing mechanic.

You've Played Better, You've Played Worse

  • Summary: Well, it wasn't perfect, but it was still a good time (especially considering how little you have to spend to get a copy these days). The gunplay isn't as satisfying as with many games, but the bionic arm gimmick more than makes up for it. It's nice to have easy transportation and increased mobility in a game like this. The levels weren't bad and the difficulty level was satisfactory...

  • Summary: I have had this game a little less then a year. Played it at a friends house and fell in love with it. Spencer the many protagonist of the game who is on the cover is a man on a mission trying to find out what happened to his wife. Throughout the game you face armed machinery and infantry. The game is extremely complicated at normal and impossible towards the middle on hard. The physics are breath taking.

  • Summary: raphics: Average looking graphics. 7.5 Sound: Average themes/sounds, nothing stands out, decent voice overs. 7.5 Gameplay: Fun and innovative gameplay mechanics, comparable to Spider Man without the open world, and with guns. The game has some fun boss fights, but its more of a linear experience, although the game does add challenge. 8.5. Story: Average story.
