Bejeweled 2

Strategy Informer
6 October 2011
  • Conclusion: It’s hard to fault Bejeweled 2 as a downloadable title. There’s plenty here to keep newcomers and puzzle aficionados quietly working away until the inevitably advanced sequel arrives. With a tight, easy to use control scheme, the opportunity to complete levels with extreme haste has never been more apparent, as you can destroy boards in seconds with a quick bit of dynamic thinking and a sharp eye for matching colours.

Bejeweled 2 PS3 Review

Console Obsession
29 May 2010
  • Excerpt: How does one start reviewing a game that pretty much everyone on the entire internet has been playing? It’s a bit like reviewing a new version of draughts, “new shiny board, doubles as shaving mirror!” or chess even, “complete with suggestive pieces!” Indeed, Bejeweled is quite the phenomenon, at least 25 million of you have bought the damn thing and at least 150 million have played it. Boggles the mind a bit doesn’t it, appears that causal gaming is serious business!

Bejeweled 2

The Gamers Temple
18 September 2009
  • Excerpt: The PlayStation Network is home to some pretty interesting downloadable titles, but the traditional puzzle category has been a little underrepresented to date.  Sony Online Entertainment has decided to change all of that with the release of a string of PopCap developed casual puzzle titles, the first of which is Bejeweled 2.

Bejeweled 2

Thunderbolt Games
23 June 2009
  • Excerpt: If you were to use one word to describe Bejeweled 2 , ‘addictive’ would probably be the best possible fit. It’s such a simple concept, but executed with such panache, and wears the old adage of ‘just one more go’ on its sleeve, to better effect than just about any other game this century.

Bejeweled 2 review (PS3)

4 June 2009
  • Excerpt: PopCap Games first developed Bejeweled and released it in the Flash format back in 2001. Since then, the title has appeared on nearly every gaming platform known to man, ranging from the PC to mobile phones, the Xbox 360 and now the PlayStation Network store. Predictably, it plays the same on the PlayStation 3 as it did on Xbox Live Arcade, on the PC and—well, you get the idea.

Forza Motorsport 2

Console Monster
22 October 2009
  • Summary: When whooshing down the dastardly Nürburgring track for the umpteenth time, you will realize the brilliance and competency that Turn10 has in the racing genre. You will begin to realize that they have created a racing game that is not only a faithful homage to the science of driving, but also one that can be experienced by anyone. The ability to craft and mould your experience to correspond with your skill level makes this a racing game for all.
  • Pros: Flawless simulation racing, Highly customizable experience, Car models look fantastic
  • Cons: Tracks aren't much to look at, A few jaggies here and there, Audio quality is great, but nothing new

Expert Review

10 October 2009
