Summary: I agree with everything GI said about the combat of this game. I had a good time with it, I really did. The characters lack depth entirely though, and the story is well, meh. It's not very capturing and you'll find yourself in beautiful environments, but forget why you're even there.
An intense action game that continually tops itself

Conclusion: Bayonetta is a great action game. It's better than Devil May Cry and Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden. The difficulty level on Normal is more fair than either of those games, too. But the game is still challenging, and mostly enjoyably so.
Pros: This game has incredible graphics and highly creative art design. The characters, enemies, weapons, and items are all lavishly designed.
Summary: I liked this game. In no way did I ever feel like it was the second coming of "Devil May Cry", and it pales in comparison to the level of polish that "God of War 3" sports (most games do), but it was really enjoyable, if only because it was so gosh darned weird (I compare it to DMC and GOW because...
Summary: I've experienced some outrageous moments in video games. I've ridden rockets like a skateboard through the sky. I've thrown down with a giant Armadillo made of lava. I thought I had seen and done it all, but then I played Bayonetta.
Summary: Bayonetta is an action packed work of art. The characters in this game are not only original, they posses a charm that will allow them to go down in gaming history. The atmosphere is both visually stunning and highly creative.
Summary: Played on PS3 As other reviewers have said, this game is not for button mashers. This game is quite challenging, incredibly fun, and will keep you coming back just for more butt-whuppin' (either yours or your enemies').
Summary: I read several user reviews before I purchased this game. They all seemed to agree that the story of this game was not its strong point, nor did the game claim that it was. It's clear that this game does not take itself overly serious. The game is filled with innuendo and double entendres.
