Summary: I bought this for my 14 year old son hoping that a more exciting/interesting chess game would get him to play more often. I also figured that if he didn' like it at least I'd have a convenient PS3 chess game that I could play. It failed on both counts. My son was bored with it after one sitting and I found that for simply playing chess it just didnty have anything like the options you find in other games like Chess Master.
Summary: My 9 year old asked me to get this game for him. He loves it! He played with his dad, another 9 year old friend, and by himself. He and dad play strategy and focus on the chess game. He and his friend focus on the Harry Potteresque part of the game where the characters battle each other to the death! It's a fun game that has strategy, battles, and entertainment as the chess characters come to life in different settings and with different battles.
Summary: While I haven't played to many chess games on the PS3, this game it very unique and something different. You can play different scenarios and various challenges. Of course there is classic chess play as well. The main scenario story has interesting levels and I feel it has helped me with my chess experience, even though it is very unique. It's hard to describe how this game stands out of other chess games.
