Summary: I choose this rating because from my husbands opinion, this game isn't entertaining him as other sports video games he has. I took a chance on this item as a gift for my husband to give him an opportunity to switch up from the other sports games he has, but he says the camera angles and the way of choosing the plays are awkward to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.
Summary: I got this game for free, and I'm really glad I didn't fork the money out for it. The reason why I choose this game out of 40 was because I didn't have a football game and thought that this game could fill the void. Within five mins of the game I was through. This game is wack, the controls are jerky and sometime seem nonresponsive. There are a lot of replays and stops in the game. The players look fake and unnatural.
Summary: People always complain about how certain brands tend to dominate sports games and that prohibits others from truly competing..Not true. Clunky game play and bad graphics tend to ruin it for me. This game is cross between the NFl Blitz and first couple of NFL Gamedays and that is not a good thing. This type of mix does not go well with the limited play book.
Summary: This is my first time ever writting a review, but I think people should know that this game is not what everyone says it is. 1. When I first got the game, it was frustrating trying to play when you are so used to the controls from other football games, but I fought through this learning experience and now I actually like the controls. It does take some time to get used to them though. 2.
Summary: This game just did not do it for me. I was willing to overlook the fact that it did not have NFL teams or players. I liked the vivid colors, and the graphics. However, the players looked like cyborgs. Each player was the same size, and had shields on their faces. Not to mention, everyone had the same accessories on. Now, lets talk about the physics. Much of the animations looked real. However, some were just over the top.
Summary: I wasn't sure how good this game would be so I got it through Gamefly. I was very excited to see that there was another football game besides Madden because I'm getting so sick and tired of the Madden franchise so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I got it through Gamefly because this game just plainly sucks. The game play was horrible, the camera angles were annoying. I couldn't see half the things I was doing. I tried liking this game but just not my thing.
Summary: It seems to me every website you go to this game is getting bad reviews from the critics, but good reviews from the players, and my conclusion is that most of the good reviews are from people who hate EA, or hate that NFL 2K series was taken away from them. Backbreaker isn't a terrible football game, but its not a good one either.
Summary: I have a lot of good things to say about Backbreaker. Most importantly, i'm glad someone is competing against Madden. The exclusive NFL rights is killing me. On the other hand, Backbreaker has something very annoying in my opinion. Practically ever pass is intercepted. Not just my passes, the cpu also. It also lacks replay features - You can play a replay from one view (unless i'm missing something). The models and textures are great and the tackles are fantastic.
