Summary: Just an FYI... I live in NY and I purchased the Japanese version for my ps3 because i liked the cover art and presentation better. I do that for certain games. The Japanese version DOES have both english and Japanese language AND subtitles so dont be worried. Im playing right now with Japanese language and English subtitles. When Asura gets mad, you really feel it! lol So far loving the story and crzy game play.
Summary: Think about the craziest anime that you've ever seen. Now add more explosions and action to it. That's what Asura's Wrath is. It isn't the best action game, but it never claims to be that. Take it in for it is and you'll love it.
Summary: What checks out: - Good plot - Mass Destruction - SO MUCH JIMMIES RUSTLED - Big plots (Episode 10) - Button Mashing Lvl: OH GOD WHY - BURST - So Wrath. Much Punch. Very Anime. What didn't: -That's-about-it-plot - Short gaming experience (even with DLC) - not enough gameplay - lack of character development
Summary: Read this entire thing. I don't really have a way with words, and what I'm about to say might just be repeating what over a hundred others have already said, but GET THIS GAME! I bought it expecting something like any generic beat 'em up, but this was on a whole new level entirely. Combine that with an amazing story, thrilling gameplay, and special moves that make almost no sense, and you're almost close to describing this game. It did not set the bar.
Summary: The reviews clearly illustrate what you're getting into with this game. It really is a Quick-Time-Event fest with some interesting eye candy. I couldn't get past a few hours into the game, but for those who really don't mind science fiction/fantasy anime or the aforementioned lack of interactivity, I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy this game. Just make sure you watch the video reviews!
