Summary: The game "Assassin's Creed" is defective and didn't work. The rest of the package was fine, but now I have to figure out how to get a new game and it is a real pain. We were so excited to get the PS3 package and so disappointed we can't play anything. It's been 2 weeks and we are still not playing with our new PS3. Disappointed!
Summary: I expected to dislike this game. Perhaps due to the negative comments about the title that I have heard from my friends. It is however quite enjoyable with a good storyline, and nice graphics. Sure, it's not as polished as later games in the franchise, and I wasn't particularly fond of the games setting, but overall it was an enjoyable experience. My only REAL regret is that I waited this long to experience it.
Summary: I actually originally first bought Assassin's Creed II because of the poor and disappointing reviews I read on this one. Well, I have to mostly agree with what I've read. After backtracking from the second game to this one, there is no comparison. The second game moves more fluidly, much better controls, and is a little less repetitive. On the bright side, the story is very interesting and there are some major twists.
Summary: Cons: 1) The "living cities" are detailed places filled with people with unique clothing and architecture. However, they are all clones and sound exactly the same. All the guards act and fight the same. Not to mention, they're just as skilled as you are at climbing and jumping. The citizens all share the same voices which has you wanting to pull your hair out listening to the same dialogue over and over and over. 2) "Assassin"? More like RAMBO.
Summary: While it's a bit tedious is also a lot of fun to do all does building climbing and for the price I think it's worth it for anyone who is willing to get into the Assassin's creed lore. The story is really good and intriguing, in the vein of 'lost', it leaves you with a lot of questions that are to be answered in the following games.
