Armored Core: Verdict Day

Auracore MediaWorks
13 January 2014
  • Summary: Demon's Souls for the mech lover in you.
  • Pros: Same fast-paced mech action; great soundtrack; Signs great addition to try and connect with other players
  • Cons: Getting rid of the FRS system a step back in mech customization; Difficulty spikes incredibly fast; forming teams a bit useless if you prefer to play alone.

Armored Core: Verdict Day

GamesRadar
30 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Armored Core: Verdict Day goes a long way toward addressing one of Armored Core V's most pressing issues: the fact that it was an online game with virtually no online community. That alone ought to make it intriguing to both newcomers and returning fans alike.
  • Pros: Customizable AI companions, Return of some old favorite weapons and parts, Spending hours at a time customizing your mech
  • Cons: Campaign is simpler and less ambitious, User interface isn't well-organized or inviting, Subpar graphics

Armored Core: Verdict Day Review

godisageek
24 September 2013
  • Summary: Crucially, whether you are on or offline, this is a fun, beefy, satisfying game to play. It is as tough as nails, but if you keep failing that mission, it is because you need to practice more.

OXCGN’s Armored Core Verdict Day Review

OXCGN
25 October 2014
  • Conclusion: At best a port of an arcade game at worst an unintuitive and unattractive iteration, Armored Core Verdict Day is the latest entry in the ‘hardcore’ mech franchise that has thus far spawned 15 games so far. I’m not going to mince words here; I think this game is terrible.

Armored Core: Verdict Day review – mech souls

Metro
25 September 2013
  • Summary: There are some compelling ideas at work here and probably the closest you’ll ever get to Chromehounds 2 – but only for those already intimately familiar with Armored Core V.
  • Pros: The combat and controls still work very well, while maintaining the illusion you’re piloting a giant robot. AI team-mates and week-long online wars are a great idea.
  • Cons: Even relatively simple ideas are made to seem as confusing as possible, with some seriously impenetrable interface design. Limited story mode and the usual weak mission design.

Armored Core: Verdict Day review

Eurogamer
24 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Whenever a numbered Armored Core title rumbles onto the scene, there are two things you can be sure of: the mech combat game will feature more component parts than your average Lego set, and From Software will build upon its core with at least one expanded sequel.

Armored Core: Verdict Day review

MMGN
10 September 2013
  • Summary: Mechs, tactics and the unforgiving nature of Dark Souls.
  • Pros: + Online world, + It's an awesome rush when it's all happening, + Mechs and more mechs
  • Cons: - Deep tactical play has to be your thing, - Not for newcomers, - Inundated with menu options, - Story is rubbish

Armored Core : Verdict Day

micromania.fr
17 April 2015

  • Pros: Verslavende multiplayer, Eindeloze aanpasmogelijkheden, Uitdagend
  • Cons: Grafisch gedateerd, Single player boeit niet
