Summary: I some times have to pinch myself, thats how much i get into this game,i had to buy aother ps3 for my daughter, dont get hooked like i did!! thanks por todo. you and yours and the AMAZON team have a safe/wonderful holidays!from the villareal posse..
Summary: With all of the Arcade style flight sims saturating the market, its nice to see an Attempt, thats right, I said "ATTEMPT" at a sim on the consoles. While some of the controls are a little ..meh, I would highly recommend you use a flightstick HOTAS with this title. It adds a little more to it. Graphically, the in game models of the aircraft are beautiful while everything else in the game fails to stand out.
Summary: Like the other review said. It is a very fun game but you need to do the free-fly and training first to get the hang of things. Flying on realistic mode is a blast. The helicopter was very hard to control but after about an hour of messing around I was doing barrel rolls in this beast and coming back around to strafe ground targets. I would recommend a HOTAS, I like this one, Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X.
Summary: Go through the training and the free flying. Learn the controls and this game is a blast. Today's world is all about instant gratification...this game has that AFTER about 30 minutes of getting familiar. Take the time to learn first and then enjoy the missions, guided missiles, the cannon and zooming in. Sweet game...can see the future ones getting better and better. 7.8 out of 10.
Summary: This game is a great game to play but the controller(PS3) set-up is not that great. I used the Thrustmaster T-flight hotas flight stick for my control pad. This action made this game a lot more pleasurable to enjoy. Each mission you have to fight along side your team to complete mission task. This is a thinking man game. The graphics are excellent for the PS3(my gaming console did not play on the X-box) and sound was excellent too.
Summary: This was a game picked out for my son and husband to play together. It was wonderful and it isn't rated M. My son is 12 and I really don't let him get rated him yet. It was hard to find something together. They play it so it's good.
Summary: It's a shame that Apache: Air Assault will fly under most people's radar (no pun intended) this holiday season with all the other blockbuster games coming out. Especially since it's release is in the shadow of Call of Duty and with upcoming releases such as Gran Turismo 5, this game is bound to be ignored and in bargain bins after the holiday season. It really is a shame because the game is a true gem. I am an aviation guru.
