Conclusion: This game is very good if you're expecting something like Ace Combat or HawX. Not so good but not worse than those ones. It's not a real chopper simulator (even if it's sometimes wants to be one) which is not a problem and sometimes you get very witty objectives as well.
Pros: The best thing in this game its quite good and spectacular graphics. It is very eye-catching when you launch a rocket salvo against the enemy and the rockets' smoke fogs the view for a moment. And when they impact there is a very decent explosion and dust clouds on the ground. Or if you hit a tree or a building it collapses instantly. And it is good to have a game that fills out the void in this genre with choppers since lately there are not so many of such stuffs. Th...
Cons: Unfortunately other things are not so good. For this game is basically an arcade helicopter shooter and not an old fashioned simulator. Though the game sometimes wants to be like that. For the controls are very simulation like: you can roll, turn etc. with the Apache. So it makes the chopper bit difficult to control which wouldn't be a problem, but the game still requires fast, arcade moves against the enemy. And due to this the game becomes very frustrating sometimes...
Summary: As so many of you, I have been waiting for a console game systems for the Apache, The only draw back I can see is no night vision for the pilot. Flar is great. The AI gunner unfortunately is a little slow in acquiring personnel targets. The two player option for this is a better choice. I advise working on training for you and your buddy to tune in your skills for both piloting and gunning. Practice makes perfect.
Summary: Apache: Air Assault is one of the few helicopter based games available right now. The controls are fairly realistic, the helicopters are difficult to handle as the default controller setup is not all that intuitive. The weapons systems are well implemented and the gameplay is overall quite good, although has room for improvement.
Summary: omg this is a brilliant game. Wen i first bought it i wasnt too sure if this would be the game for me since i am a girl in her teens but i found this game to be very fun indeed, great if you wanna shoot things haha :-) the graphics are perfect. the controls are a bit confusing at first but most games are like that. it took me two goes to get them covered, but still its a really fun game.
Summary: I've tried numerous flight games on the PS3 and this is, in my opinion, hands down the best. Graphics are good, especially like the backdrops that are destructable. This game knocks Hawx out of the sky.

Summary: The game is good. Graphics are good, controls are straight forward - it took me a little while, but this is my first flight sim game so go figure. Someone with experience would probably find it easy. My one complaint is that, if you're playing single player, before EVERY SINGLE LEVEL it whines about the lack of network connection and gives you advice on how to deal with it. Not everyone wants to play on the network all the time.
