Summary: Definately enjoyable game play. Difficult to fly which adds to the realism. Cool features like FLIR and the ability to engage multiple targets with Hellfires. Biggest detractor for me is the range at which you are able to engage enemies. The greatest asset of this weapon system is its ability to engage enemies without them knowing they are being engaged until its over and they did not capitalize on this in the game.
Summary: I have to agree with Grizz0303. This game is very hard to manuver using the DS3 remote. As another reviewer indicated, it's easy when you're flying in "Beginner/Training" mode but once you try the "Realistic" mode the fun disappears....fast. Using the DS3 controller is almost impossible to manuver quickly and accurately to attack oncoming enemy fire. I usually have to jump onto "AutoHover" just to keep the chopper from crashing.
Summary: This title was developed by the team responsible also for the amazing Birds of Steel. Now while you can see that Birds of Steel DNA in this game it is a slightly different beast. The game is very barebones - you can only pilot a few different helicopters and the story is barley noticeable. However the flight mechanics are ace and sim enough for consoles.
Summary: This is such a "nearly" game. It's nearly brilliant, yet it falls short when it counts. Couldve been helped with more development, larger, more expansive levels and not least, a larger number of levels. The apache flies great but some of the AI is rather ridiculous e.g. the air-to-air engaments and what i'd label "dead zones", where you can hover and yet defeat AI without doing anything at all (which kinda takes away from the point of playing).
Good for the price but game is getting on a bit now...

Summary: Had this for a while now so it's even more dated as a game. PRO: Cheap, quick to get into, has a local co-op play mode CON: Dated graphics and missions, maybe a bit too arcade like Overall - Good cheap game for killing a bit of time - missions can be played in a few minutes.
Summary: Now, being the military enthusiast that I am, and having a huge interest in military aviation and Apache attack helicopters, I thought'd I'd love this game, no matter how bad it be, but I'll be honest -- I was a little disappointed here. The first few missions where you are introduced to the different weapon systems of the Apache are quite fun, realistic and interesting (for me, at least), but as the game goes on, the missions just get repetitive and boring quickly.
