Summary: When I first found out about Alone in the dark is when it was available for ps1. Alone in the Dark "The new Nightmare" was really scary and fun to play. So I decided to buy this game supposing that it would be as scary and fun too. The game was pretty cool to be a ps3 game, but the controllers weren't just right, if it is your first time playing, you'll have troubles getting used to them, even now sometimes I get confused pressing the triangle button instead of the O...
Summary: Alone in the Dark is niche game. If you like horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, this game is not far away from those two. The challenge in this game is almost non existent. Guns are not necessary and your most useful weapon is a health spray can and lighter. Controls are sluggish and graphics feel like a ps2. That being said, I really like how the story was presented.
Summary: Thing about this game is that it take a while to get used to. The controls at the beginning are terrible until you get used to it. If you are an achievement/trophy hunter go ahead and get it because they are quite easy on this game. If you're up for experimenting, go ahead and get it.
Summary: I'd never played any of the previous four AITD video games so I figured I'd be lost an unable to keep up with this one, but the previews looked good so I added it to my wishlist, where it remained until the price came down. You play as Edward Carnby, a man who has lost his memory. Edward wakes up in a crumbling Central Park West apartment building. A supernatural force is ripping through the walls and turning the inhabitants into mutated killers.
its average, but for the price it is now, give it a try

Summary: The ps3 version is the definitive version of the game. however, that doesnt mean its flawless. there are still some bugs and glitches in the game. ive had moments where the game froze, where my car was stuck on something that wasn't there ect, where my character was stuck and where a cut scene would not even load. thats the bad, the good is that this game has some of the greatest moments in gaming history. the controls are decent.
Summary: i fell for the demo from PSN and knew that this game had a lot of potential in spite of the other low ratings. So decided to invest in it. But after playing it, i can say that it had a lot of potential that was not utilized. While story background was told with an innovative in-game cell phone text messages, it did not do justice to the story as it almost seemed unnecessary to read the text messages to progress further.
Summary: The title of this game is kind of ironic, being that you are givin a partner early in the game, and that you're not in the dark because everything is on fire, but enough of that for now, on to the game review. You play as Edward Carnby, who wakes up in the game knowing nothing about his past who soon learns that rips in the ground are chading him because he can stop the rips from destroying the world......yea, not the best story in the world, but it kinda works.
Summary: This game could have easily been a four to five star game, if they had solved some camera and control problems, the biggest being their weapons system. A person wastes too much time stopping to change weapons which becomes very frustrating. Then you can bareley carry anything and have to stop and go looking. The game used the F-bomb often but not as much as I did towards those who developed the system. These guys should play R.E.
