Summary: this is what more football gasmes should be like they dont alln have to be slaves to the nfl the only improvement i see needed is in the animation and faces they all look like they are scared of somthing or realy suprised.other than that a realy good example of what a non nfl game can be
Summary: if you want realistic football with suction tackles or tumble-weed animations, this is the game to get. you really have to have skill to play this game, even on rookie. the movements and animations are so real with realistic head tracking on the ball, meaning if your receiver or cornerback is not looking at the ball, he's not going to catch it. this is the only game where you can have Jerry Rice and John Elway on the same team.
Summary: The game is nice visually, and the gameplay is fun as well.....until you need to kick a fieldgoal. The kicking game takes a bit to get the hang of, and can be quite frustrating. It's cool to see players you grew up watching, but at times the models look a bit older which distracts from the immersion a bit. The game is not as polished or replayable as a Madden or NCAA, but it is fun to play for a season or two.
Summary: The game is awesome and was in great shape. AP2k8 is a great game and is better than madden in terms of displaying football fundamentals. I wish 2k sports would come out with another game w/ nfl teams and updated graphics and watnot
Summary: This may be the last review every written on this site about this game. I hope it is. I hope that there is not a perpetual need for football / gaming nerds to dig through the bargain bins at their local game store to find a three year old game with cripplingly bare-boned features and a creepy mix of fantasy teams/stadiums and legendary (and not so legendary) players of the past. The aesthetic is jarring - seemingly more at place in an "nfl blitz" type of game.
Summary: Okay, first things first: THIS GAME WILL NOT BLOW YOU AWAY GRAPHICALLY. Now, if you are someone looking for a competent, strategic, and overall fun simulation of football with some of the games greatest as well as the ability to create your own teams/players, then this game is for you. Presentation: The graphics are outdated but the motion capture and animations are top-notch.
Summary: Though this game does not have current NFL players and teams, it has a lot to offer. First, this game has great animations. Tumbleweed tackles do not exist on the game. There are plenty of double hit tackles on almost every play, as well as realistic physical movements, which represent real football. There is no motion shifting. Every player moves with much fluidity on each play. When a QB throws the ball, it is actually going directly out of his hands.
