Massive Loading Times

Zafi, Amazon
1 March 2012
  • Summary: This game has massive loading times, for anyone that has played Skyrim, this game takes about ten times as long to load. I thought my game froze the first time I played it. The save data is 376MB as opposed to the standared ~500KB. When photographing animals, your destination is set, and if you want to do two missions at one time, it is difficult due to the set destination. People move their mouth in the game, however they don't speak. It looks a little strange.

Great concept but suffers from being a 1st gen PS3 title

Brian "Brian", Amazon
19 May 2011
  • Summary: I remember this game being part of the original technology demos for the PS3. After long delays, it was finally released in 2009 with minimal fanfare. The idea of a safari photography game intrigued me and on a whim I finally purchased this game in 2011. This is a unique game concept and serves as a nice mellow alternative to the shooters and sports titles out there.

Interesting Game for Those Interested in Nature Photography, but Hardly Worth $60

Steven K. Wells, Amazon
12 October 2010
  • Summary: This game has a lot to offer, though I would stress that it's less of a game and more of a nature photography simulation. I also got this game on sale for $30, so I cut it a lot of slack I probably wouldn't cut it if I had paid full price. Afrika throws you into a pretty diverse & expansive natural preserve and asks you to complete various photo assignments, while rewarding you with credits you can use to purchase additional camera gear within the Sony Alpha line.

Limited appeal, but not bad.

Andrew Gray, Amazon
23 December 2013
  • Summary: If you don't like the idea of lurking for ages by a hippo pool waiting for one to yawn so you can get a photo of it happening, then you probably don't want anything to do with this game. It is, I suppose, a simulation game, where you are a photographer in Africa and receive assignments by email.

A mal vieillit

Bistoufly, Amazon
16 October 2009
