Reviews and Problems with Ace Combat Assault Horizon

It's OK but older ace combats were better.

Summary: this is a pretty decent game on its own but doesn't really feel like ace combat anymore. In ace combat assult horison the battle field is pretty small yet the map is huge leaving you with a lot of useless airspace. What I don't like: 1) no wingman to support you; I feel like I'm on my own totaly outnumbered most of the time & allies are almost useless. 2) no more operations A, B, C etc. like in 6. I miss having more options & more things to destroy.
Summary: I have played this for a while but I do not consider myself a gamer. Being that is said, I am hung up in part three of the game. Can't understand really where I am supposed to be at all times to get through it. Like I said I am not a gamer but this is the reason I can't rate it that high. I am a Call of Duty nut and don't have problems but I do in this game. Enough said, just getting a little board trying to move along in it.
Summary: so i got ace combat when it first came out because i love flying planes and their arent many game platforms out their like this one. i liked belkan and the unsung war but after that i stopped, i realized they all repeated themselves and the storyline is weak, so here i am 3yrs later trying the latest episode from ace "assault horizon" im contempt. but my hypothesis is still correct from 3yrs ago. it still has a weak story and repeated tactics, visuals and graphics.
Summary: This latest in the long string of Ace Combat titles is the first I did not really enjoy. The graphics are awsome. The story is as good as the others. The problem lay in them over complicating the combat style. the new dogfight mode is annoying to get used to and the constant switching between platforms every mission (bomber, fighter, helicopter, door gunner) would have been cool if the controls were not entirely differant and hard to transition too vehicle to vehicle.
Summary: While I am a huge ace comabt fan this game sort of fell short. As i saw the trailers and previews I was super excited but as soon as i got the game I knew this was not the ace combat of old. The whole point of the game was to test your piloting skills against superb enemies or mega superbosses. None of these were in this new one. Had they been it would have been quite a bit more interesting. I did like the real world setting but the story was a bit lame.
Summary: Let me start by saying the last Ace Combat game I played was in PS2..the beautiful Unsung Wars. This games doesnt get to its kneel. I was eager to get this game so I preordered it back in july (got Amazon discount though so it went cheaper and got a $10 credit promo). The Unsung Wars was great, so I was hoping this was gonna be as good, but with better graphics. One word: bah. They literally turned a flying game into a rail-on shooter.
