Excerpt: It doesn't happen often, but every now and again I'll get the opportunity to review a game that is completely unfamiliar to me. Usually I've at least heard a game's name in passing before it comes my way, so most of the time I know what to expect. The PSN release Acceleration of Suguri: X Edition was a complete mystery to me until my download finished and I started playing, and what I found was borderline insane: a mashup of the 1 on 1 fighting game and the "bullet hell"...
Excerpt: Acceleration of Suguri X Edition is a Japanese 2D shooter available on the PlayStation Network. The game is cute, which is not an adjective generally associated with shooters, but in this case it fits. Game play involves choosing one of seven different female anime-style characters and then fighting in a timed battle for superiority. Sounds simple enough? Sure. And that is part of this games charm.
Excerpt: Acceleration of Suguri X (ASX) is a bit strange, to say the least. It is an anime-style fighting game starring seven combatants who duke it out in a ringed arena to see who is the best at fighting.
Pros: + It's a bit mental, + Great music
Cons: Easy to spam, Bizarre throwaway story, Combat is basic
