- Excerpt: By nature I’m what you’d call a skeptic. I don’t give in to media hype and I’ve played way too many “revolutionary games” to know that the majority of them turn out to be duds. That being said – I’m also a fair man, and when the fine folks at Cheat Happens asked me to write about my favorite game of the year – I knew I had to at least try Uncharted 2 before I could fully make up my mind. Then somehow “try” turned into an all-night gaming marathon.

Hooked Gamers
- Excerpt: Call of Duty . Even those three simple words can evoke feelings of pure elation or pure hatred from whoever hears them. A very divisive series, there are now two schools of thought about the ridiculously successful series - it’s either the best thing since sliced bread, or over-rated yearly releases of vaguely similar titles. To be fair, the same accusations are levelled at titles such as FIFA , but that series has never had the same amount of anger aimed at it.
- Pros: Enjoyable story, brilliant multiplayer, addition of survival mode is welcomed.
- Cons: Campaign is a little too short. Engine beginning to show its age. Reused textures from previous games.

- Excerpt: Ayant créé la surprise lors de sa sortie en 2009, Borderlands a su intéresser les joueurs en raison de son gameplay atypique à base de FPS, mais mêlé d'éléments RPG, voire de hack'n slash. En y ajoutant la possibilité d'effectuer l'ensemble de la campagne du jeu en coopération jusqu'à quatre joueurs, il n'en fallait pas plus pour se convaincre de la durée de vie particulièrement importante du jeu de Gearbox. C'est d'ailleurs l'un des principaux arguments de son succès.
