Summary: Not the newer Zelda's either. This harkens back to the old school top down 2D Zelda games that I grew up with and love to this day. The gameplay is amazingly fun, with inventive enemies and a good story line that keeps you interested. You can waste a lot of hours playing this and not even know it. Great game.

Summary: 3D Dot Game Heroes is an adventure worth taking, especially for Zelda fans. But it's not one without faults, including strange difficulty spikes and opportunities to accidentally miss key game items. Despite these problems, it's is a lavishly pretty and entertaining virtual worship at the altar of Shigeru Miyamoto, resulting in a video game Nintendo themselves would likely make, so it's a good thing someone else did.
Summary: Do you like Dragon Quest Games? Do you like Hard-as-heck Legend of Zelda style Gameplay? Are you a fan of minecraft-esque Block People? then THIS is your oddly specific Dream Game! :D Seriously, the game feel, the storyline, and even a BUNCH of the references are to Dragon Quest games and lore, even straight up Parodying some of the scenes from certain games.
Summary: One of the most compelling and intriguing games to come out on new-generation consoles. It takes what everyone loved about retro games and modernized it in such a way that does not destroy the experience at all, but in fact enhances it.
Summary: This game is awesome. It is like a flashback to the early 90's. It plays music that sounds like old school game music, has old school gameplay, and the old school fun. It is a blast from the past, and is something you should play if you are into old school RPGs.
Summary: 3D Dot Game Heroes may simultaneously be the most original and most unoriginal game I've ever played. How is that possible? Well, it should be obvious to anybody who looks at the game for more than five minutes. It's clearly a homage of the gaming of yesteryear, particularly the classic Legend of Zelda NES and SNES games ( A Link to the Past in particular). In fact, it's pretty much an exact copy of the formula of A Link to the Past.
