2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Thunderbolt Games
15 May 2010
  • Excerpt: FIFA’s World Cup and European Cup games have received a deservedly bad reputation throughout the years. They’re usually rushed out to coincide with the big event not long after the latest annual outing, often skimming over substantial features and adding nothing new to the gameplay despite their full pricing.

  • Excerpt: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa was released at the end of April to take advantage of the upcoming World Cup match taking place in South Africa. Its sandwiched between the release of FIFA 10 last year and the upcoming release of FIFA 11, but is designed to capture the crazed excitement of the international event thats the World Cup. Its not at broad as a normal FIFA title, but you will see a highly elevated presentation value to the game.

  • Excerpt: It's 2010 and for footy fans, that's significant for only one reason: It's a World Cup year. As tradition goes, it's also a year that EA Sports releases a special edition soccer title. Hence, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa for PlayStation3.

2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa

Gamer vision
3 May 2010
  • Excerpt: The FIFA World Cup is likely the most celebrated championship on the planet. With nearly 200 countries vying for a chance to hoist that beautiful gold trophy, there’s hardly any one population that wouldn’t be proud of their countrymen for achieving that which only comes once every four years – becoming the greatest soccer team on Earth. Knowing how special a moment the World Cup is, EA releases its own World Cup game every four years as well.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa game review

Boys' Life magazine
2 May 2010
  • Excerpt: In less than two months, the best soccer teams in the world will gather in various South African stadiums for the FIFA World Cup. But you don’t have to wait; you can play right now. Is 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa worth the price of admission — especially if you already have FIFA 10 from six months ago? If you’re a soccer nut, the answer is generally “yes.” This game is not just about being the best in a country, region or even a continent.

FIFA World Cup is the easy way to qualify

Game Informer
26 April 2010
  • Conclusion: Concept: Give players a taste of what it’s like to qualify for the World Cup. Just a taste Graphics: The added shots of coaches prowling the sidelines and the fans in the stands look pretty good Sound: It’s unfortunate that even your qualifying matches have South African drum corps and the same chants game-in and game-out Playability: Developer EA Canada has made some gameplay improvements since FIFA 10, but I can’t say I noticed them all Entertainment: Although this is...

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Gamereactor
4 May 2010
  • Conclusion: The official game of the World Cup is here and to a certain degree I think I knew well in advance just what I would write about it. If you have played FIFA 10 to death, you're not going to find the action on the pitch all that exciting. There are of course fine tunings and little changes, but not to the extent where you feel that it's a whole new gaming experience. Not even close. This is the World Cup expansion of FIFA 10 if you will.
  • Pros: Authentic World Cup atmosphere, great gameplay foundation from FIFA 10, new penalty system.
  • Cons: Not great value, feels like an expansion, poor commentary.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Konzolista.cz
21 November 2013
  • Summary: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa přináší několik změn oproti hře FIFA 10, ale zas jich není tolik, aby normální hráč běžel do obchodu. To fotbalový nadšenec má asi jasno.
