Excerpt: I use this with a V3 body and Nikon 70-300 f/4.5/5.6 VR (FX) lens. This combo produces impressive images with eye-popping magnification (up to about 800mm effective focal length). There are some limitations (see the Nikon website), the most important being Center Spot focusing only.
Excerpt: Works, with limitations described by Nikon at http: //imaging.nikon.com/lineup/acil/lenses/mount_adapter_ft1/.Have used w/ 35mm f1.8, 18-105 mm, 18-55 mm DX lenses w/ autofocus, and 50mm f1.4 D and 70-300mm D lenses with manual focus.

Excerpt: I use the FT1 with the Nikon 70-300 to provide an equivalent 800mm f/5.6 for photographing birds and wildlife. This is as good as or better than long zooms with teleconverters on a DX SLR. AF is fast and accurate in good light, though neither as fast or as accurate as with the same lens on an SLR.
Excerpt: This adapter for Nikon 1 camera which is small and light. It fit well with my normal Nikkor lens. I got very sharp pictures with it. The only inconvenient is that the product is a little too heavy for a small camera.
Excerpt: Most of my gear is Nikon so this adapter is great for me. Being able to use the smaller 1V1 when traveling will be an even bigger bonus now that I can use my other lenses. It is somewhat awkward to take on and off but with practice I expect that to be easier.
