Excerpt: I use this to run my 70-200mm f4 and 50mm f1.4 on a Nikon 1 J5. The 2.7x crop factor is pretty awesome with both lenses (540mm f4), and image quality is amazing. I run my D7100 like this anyway, but keep in mind that the adapter only permits use of the center focus point.
Excerpt: Recently upgraded from the Nikon D3200 to the J5. I love that I had the fun of the new light weight camera, but can still choose from all of my old lenses. It is wonderful to not have to feel like you have to start all over with lenses, especially specialty lenses like the Lensbaby series.
Excerpt: Extremely well constructed. For me make possible the use of any of my NIKKOR lenses with Nikon 1 V3 camera. It communicates very well with the camera, allowing autofocus and iris. Strongly recommended top any that wants to use the power of Nikon 1 V3 camera with NIKKOR lenses.
Excerpt: I have tried each F-mount lens in my kit with this adapter on the v3 and it does indeed work as advertised. It even works with a seaming 14 mm lens (w/chip). Using a 50 mm or 85 mm lens is a bit large but manageable. With an 80-400 mm lens it is certainly an impressive field of view.
Excerpt: I use this adapter with my N1 J5 and it works like a charm. It conveys electronic contrls for Af and VR (when used with a capable lens), and attaches quickly and easily. It always steps up to the plate and gets the job done when I need it.
Pros: Firm Mount, Good Lens Mount, Good Mountfoot, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I use this with a V3 body and Nikon 70-300 f/4.5/5.6 VR (FX) lens. This combo produces impressive images with eye-popping magnification (up to about 800mm effective focal length). There are some limitations (see the Nikon website), the most important being Center Spot focusing only.
Excerpt: Got this item to use on a Nikon (2216) 18-300mm DX lens. I wanted to get the new 70-300mm N1 lens, but got tired of waiting. I have an upcoming trip and just ran out of time. I got the Nikon 18-300mm DX G lens with this adapter as an alternative.
