Problems with the design.

  • Excerpt: Manfrotto needs to go back to drawing board on this. The rubber feet screw on over the spike. Unfortunately they can unscrew and fall off easily. On a recent photo shoot I spent too much time backtracking to find the missing foot. On the plus side the wide feet are great when shooting on sand.
  • Pros: Better Support On Sand
  • Cons: Poor Design

  • Excerpt: These feet make the tripod much steadier on all sorts of terrain, from concrete sidewalks to snowy hills. They also add about an inch to the tripod's height. They are a bit difficult to install, but once installed, they are a tight fit.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fits Well, Improves Tripod Function, Solid/Sturdy, Well built quality
  • Cons: Bulky

  • Excerpt: I got a set for my 728B digi compact tripod. The installation problem was the existing feet. They did NOT slip off. They were glued on with some clear, glass like, hard resin. The rubber feet had to be cut and then broken off.
  • Pros: Improves Tripod Function
  • Cons: Old feet glued on
