Excerpt: I was going to buy one for my stabilizer so that I could quickly attach and remove my camera, but decided to go with two of them in case I needed to use it with a tripod. I did some testing with both of them when they arrived, and I can say that I'm pretty confident that the camera plate won't slide...

Excerpt: The mounting plate says the lens faces the short end. But doing so places the body in the way of turning the lock know. The only way to use the plate is to mount the camera incorrectly with the plate long-wise across the bottom of the camera.
Excerpt: Very solid quick release plate. I love that it has an adjustable tab on the release knob in case the tab hits either your camera or whatever you're mounting this on. Also it comes with both 1/4 and 3/8 screws so you have options. Overall good price and quality.

Excerpt: I typically use it to keep all the switching back and forth between camera setups to one size QR plate. For example, I even attach one to two of my Benro S series fluid heads because the Benro tripod plates are not even standardized amongst themselves.
Excerpt: This is a solid piece of equipment that is sturdy yet lightweight. This product was listed as an accessory for the Magnus VT-4000 tripod, claiming that it would fit the VT-4000 tripod plate. I purchased this in addition to the Magnus VT 4000 tripod for two reasons.
Excerpt: I bought the M621 because I was looking for a quick release system that would be interchangeable with my FM18 fluid head. The M621 works great, is well designed and manufactured with lots of options on configurations. They are fully interchangeable with the FM18.
Excerpt: I do video and photography with a DSLR. I now own 5 of these to swap between tripod heads & camera rigs. Things get a little 'thick' with all of the conversions, but it saves so much time when moving between configurations. The Giottos locks down well and does the job.
Excerpt: Not compatible with the Manfrotto 577/501PL plate, even though it looks really similar. But that's my fault for not checking before buying. Build quality is more than good enough and would be an awesome alternative if it fit my application.
Excerpt: I bought 7 of these to put on all of my gear, tripods, sliders, cages, and being $ bucks a pop they do great however they are far from perfect. The paint or Finnish makes it hard to slide them on unlike the manfroto counterpart, however I have read this get better with time.
