Summary: This watch has an embarrassment of features. If all you do with your time is play with gadgets, then you will probably love this one. However, when I go out for a run, I do not want to be constantly futzing with tiny buttons trying to get a few simple pieces of useful information; i.e. heart rate, pace and calories burned.
Summary: I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this product. It was not as easy to use as the other reviews indicated. It was a challenge to get the watch, foot pod and heart rate monitor set up and ready to use. When I did start running with the watch, it was almost .1 miles off for accuracy. I had to search Garmin's website for information on how to calibrate the watch for accurate mileage. It all seems to be working now, but set-up was a nightmare.
Summary: I have had this watch only for a little over a year and am disappointed. It was a great watch for most of the first year, but now the "down" button does not work and the watch no longer makes any sounds. I would not recommend this watch to others.
Summary: I purchased this garmin HRM because of the great features. I use this watch indoors and out, and particularly liked the backlight since it was easy to see in my spin cycle class. The backlight started to fade, so much so that I cannot see the reading in the dark. I thought it might be the battery, so I changed it...no success. Then, today the strap broke in half. Several other readers have had this same experience, and the customer service is not good from garmin.
Summary: Never was able to use this watch. I figured out that most of the results (such as calorie counting) cannot be found on the watch itself but only on the garmin website after downloading workouts. If you are looking for a watch that displays calorie count, this is NOT the one. They claim in the description that it counts calories, and yes it does, but you can only review that information online. Sent back this product for a watch that displays more info.
Summary: Just got the watch today after a 5 day wait on shipping. The watch broke not more than 1 min after removing it from the box :( I went to turn the watch on and pressed the mode button once and it just popped right off...well actually shot off as the spring sent the button flying across the room. Very dissapointing. I attempted to put it back together but could not find the spring.
Summary: After reading the reviews criticizing just the strap, I didn't worry because I was buying this HRM to monitor my heart rate while I ran, plus I wanted to monitor my mileage and calories burned. I was so looking forward to having this watch for years. The set up was a pain in the neck, as the sync took about 6 tries for the computer to finally find it. Once on the road, I ran several courses with the FR60 on roads I knew 100% the real distance.
Summary: The watch works great however after a little use the light purple tends to get dirty easily and is very hard to clean (rubber). The battery lasts about 1 year..at which point you remove the back cover on the watch and replace the battery. When you do this the bands will snap right at the watch because you have to bend them back a little to get to the screws. It is unrepairable. One other complaint is that the chrome around the face chips off easily.
Summary: I purchased this watch almost exactly one year ago, with the foot pod, heart rate monitor and USB ANT stick because my treadmill's speed display wasn't working. It worked pretty well when running, though the speed was not very accurate when walking - varied greatly between 3mph and 5mph even though I wasn't changing my speed. I also sometimes had problems with uploading the information onto my computer.
