Summary: Great value. Had it now for about 4 weeks. Train 2-3 times a week with it and had no problems. Heart rate is picked up within a few seconds. It records all the data very effectively and does what I require, monitor my HR. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good HR monitor that isn't pricey. Great buy.
Summary: I spent two months on and off looking at reviews for heart rate monitors before settling on this one. I have read many of the reviews for this watch and I can say, having never used a heart rate monitor in my life, this one fits the bill perfectly. I simply needed to know my heart rate during interval specific training. The signal picks up within about 10 seconds and I have never needed to use a gel to aid this detection.
Summary: This is an excellent product. Sent by Avides from Germany to me in the UK but arrived promptly. Have read a few complaints about the monitor picking up heart rate but I have had no problems (although I do not have an excessively hairy chest!). You do need a bit of patience as it will take a couple of minutes to pick up a reading but then all is fine. Tried it out skiing all day and the chest band was not uncomfortable.
Summary: easy to use. set up is straight forward. was just what i was looking for.upper and lower limits really helped me pacing my runs. use it every time now very pleased only down side it sometimes takes a few minutes to find heart beat sometimes straight away so i just put it on earlier.
Summary: I bought this product to replace my Cardiosport Heart Monitor, which had ceased to work. I found it easy to set up and use. The information enclosed includes a series of flowcharts which give clear and simple, step by step instructions. I have found it very reliable, and have had no problems getting good electrode contact. Appart from the fact the watch element is large for a female, I would definitely recommend this heart monitor. It is much better than my previous one.
Summary: I bought this to replace an old basic Polar monitor after its battery went - since I didn't think I could replace it myself (following the reviews when I bought it). An attraction of the Beurer monitor was that reviewers said that they could replace the batteries themselves. This indeed looks straightforward for the chest strap (battery inaccessible on the Polar), though a little tricky for the monitor: you'd have to take the back off.
Summary: It's a bit slow to pick up the signal, but once it does it works perfectly. Can't fault it. In fact I disagree with those who say it's complicated... you're up and running (literally) in a couple of minutes.
Summary: Spent several hours trying to get this to work - including tightening and loosening strap, wetting the back of the sensors - but only managed to get a reading once (so I know the model wasn't completely broken). Shame the sensor is so unreliable, because the watch itself is comfortable, waterproof and has good features for the money. Have now sent it back.
Summary: First time buyer of a heart rate monitor and it seemd to do the biz absolutley fine. I have only used basic setting to date but no problems reported. Takes a couple of minutes for the heart rate to get picked up (moisture on the contacts) but is something I can live with!!
Summary: Have read the reviews, I looked forward to receiving this monitor. What a disappointment it was. It just would not work - I tried moisture, water and even shaving my chest, but all to no avail. Needless to say I returned it for a refund.
