The ZVOX Z-Base 525 compact speaker system is touted as the smaller version of the IncrediBase 575. The Z-Base system fits on a standard 12-inch deep bookshelf. It features five speakers, a powered subwoofer, amplifiers all in one hand-built, cross-braced low-profile wood (MDF) cabinet with hand-lacquered high-gloss black end panels. The top of the Z-Base 525 is finished in scratch-resistant black vinyl.

Features

The ZVOX Z-Base 525 has five 2-inch full-range speaker and a 5.25-inch subwoofer that supports a total of 60W power output. It includes the PhaseCue technology for providing virtual surround sound. The Z-Base 525 is priced at $399.99, and comes with an included remote control. The ZVOX 525 features a hand-built, cross-braced wood (MDF) cabinet with hand-lacquered high-gloss black end panels, and is finished at the top in scratch-resistant black vinyl to reducing marring by objects such as the TV placed on its surface. The speaker system measures 24 ” x 12.5 ” x 3 1/2 ” and supports a 60 watt amplifier. It also features two rear “mixing” inputs via dual RCA jack inputs, is bi-amplified and uses an amplifier that includes electronic contouring for superb frequency response; 5.25" subwoofer that uses a high-mass long-throw design in a ported enclosure; five 2 " main speaker drivers use ferrofluid and neodymium magnets to create loud, clear sound and is magnetically shielded so it can be used near a TV or monitor. The 550 uses an MDF (medium density fiberboard) wood cabinet - instead of plastic and features ZVOX Infinite Compliance system which connects the outer two main speakers with an acoustic tube. A subwoofer output jack on the rear allows owners to connect a separate powered subwoofer (optional), and the unit supports auto-on/auto-off circuit senses sound from source (TV, iPod, PC) and turns on the 525 two seconds later. The ZVOX 525 is backed by a one year limited parts and labor warranty and comes with a 2-meter RCA-RCA connecting cord.
