As the name implies, the Zvox IncrediBase 575 is designed to act as a base for a stand-mounted TV. On one hand, that design means it can't be mounted on a wall. On the other hand, the larger enclosure helps produce better sound -- including better bass -- than possible with the slim cabinets of more typical sound bars. Read more
Price : $600 At A Glance : Dual powered subs go low • Single-box analog domain “virtual surround” • Ultra-clear vocal presentation A Base With Good Bass Despite the predictable claims that manufacturers make—and the breathless, indefensible hyperbolic shrieks made by computer geeks posing as audio reviewers—no one-box-solution soundbar can really replace a discrete 5.1-channel surround sound system. The Zvox Z-Base 575 sound bar gets loud and delivers deep bass from its unique pedestal design, but it's expensive and has a bare-bones feature package. Read more
After decades of audio hunting and being a devotee of the Kloss evolution, as well as the English sound, my reading led me to ZVOX. Intrigued by the back of the book page adverts in Sound and Vision offering reviews, I dug deeper to uncover the lineage and deeper reviews. After moving to a new city apartment with our six year old ultra curious for all things electronic son, an audio solution for our new 3D 9000 Samsung was needed. Read more

PhaseCue manipulates the phase of the separate channels to “fool the ear” into believing that sound is coming from a variety of sources throughout the room, providing users with optimal listening experience to live music and well-recorded modern movie soundtracks in three-dimensional sound.
The IncrediBase 575 is a bi-amplified speaker system, using a specially designed amplifier that includes electronic contouring for optimal frequency response. It also features 6.5” subwoofer that uses a high-mass long-throw design in a ported enclosure; five 3.25" main speaker drivers designed with ferrofluid and neodymium magnets to create loud, clear sound, is magnetically shielded so it can be used near a TV or monitor and uses an MDF (medium density fiberboard) wood cabinet - instead of plastic. The unit supports a bass equivalent to a 10" external powered subwoofer and uses dual 6.5" powered subwoofers in a cabinet (equal in interior volume to a 14"x14"x14" subwoofer box) that results in a bass output of 35Hz. The IncrediBase 575 uses the ZVOX Infinite Compliance system - which connects the outer two main speakers with an acoustic tube and features a subwoofer output jack on the rear that allows owners to connect a separate powered subwoofer (optional). It also supports auto-on/auto-off circuit senses sound from source (TV, iPod, PC) and turns on the IncrediBase 575 two seconds later. Approximately three minutes after it has received no signal, it automatically shuts the unit off. The ZVOX IncrediBase 575 comes with a 2-meter RCA-RCA connecting cord and is backed by a one year limited parts and labor warranty.
