Summary: I was dissapointed in this item and wished I would have tried the bigger unit. Just not enough clarity or punch for me. I returned it and got a Yamaha 4100 and subwoofer for alot more money but I like it better.
Summary: Let's cut to the chase: this is not an audiophile's dream speaker- there are serious compromises that have to be made to accommodate the convenient form factor. However, it likely sounds considerably better than your TV's built-in speakers. Longer review: The speaker is nicely finished, although it's more functional than beautiful IMO. The sides have high-gloss black endcaps; the top, bottom, and back appear to be black vinyl.
Summary: I picked my zvox up as a refurbished unit on ebay. The unit makes a nice improvement compared to stock television speakers. Most notably much more bass.It eliminates the need for wires and too many speakers. There is an option on my unit to add a subwoofer. The unit makes a nice improvement despite the very small speakers, they add up and are of high quality. The first remote was very awkward and I could not open the unit to replace the battery.
Summary: We purchased a Flat screen TV and weren't happy with the TV sound quality (no real shocker). We looked at lots of surround systems, but didn't want the multiple speakers, mess of wires and clutter. I literally discovered the VZOX website by accident....and bought one when my tech-savvy son said his research said it was a good product. The truth is it literally plug-and-played in less than 5 minutes and after tinkering with the settings is very FABULOUS.
Summary: I purchased this sound bar two years ago, because of high ceilings in my home made it hard to hear my wide screen. The bar is excellent and the sound quality is pure. I can now watch and hear my shows and movies even with the high ceilings.
Summary: When I first got this I set it up and I didn't know if it sounded that great. So I turned it off and turned on TV speakers.... I always thought my TV speakers were pretty good but they sucked compared to this sound bar. Pros: Great sound that fills the room. Small for a sound system, but big for a sound bar. Sounds great even at high volumes. Cons: Slight hissing noise when turned up really high and no sound. The remote kind of sucks. Hard time hearing voices sometimes.
Summary: The ZVOX 430 is simple to set up and is easier on the eye than bigger home-theater setups. Primarily, you can think of the 430 as a speaker box with incredible range and fidelity. Surprisingly, it performs excellently for music and movies alike. If you want a system that will rumble the floor and give you excellent surround sound, this is probably NOT it. If you want something that will delivery rich, full sound at low to moderate volume levels, this is the ticket.
Summary: We bought 55in LCD a couple weeks ago, and ive been looking for a soundbar because we didnt want to deal with wires, speakers allover, and a huge subwoofer box. Soundbars in general are reviewed as an OK solution. I read all the reviews, and decided on the ZVOX 430 for a couple reasons..
