Summary: Not the greatest sounding speakers by any means. They lack volume and bass but for the application I think they do the trick. Much better sound than built in laptop or notepad speakers and easy to carry around and set up. They look very nice too and for gadget freaks they compress down into an egg-like shape for storage and transportation; kind of a nifty gadget where you almost want to mess with them or set them up just to allow them to get the attention of others are...
Summary: great sound, very portable. Good price. I wonder if the unhappy people realize you have to twist release them and they spring up. When you want to travel with them you push them down and twist to lock. Then you can stick them together magnetically. Very compact to take on holiday.
Summary: Thought I'd risk £20 on these for use with my iPad/iPhone for music and movies. The sound these things pack is worth 5 times the price tag, and the 12 hour charge on them means it's great not having to look for a power point every 2 mins! Have already successfully recommended them to 3 friends and all without issue! The reason there's a star missing, I had to get a replacement set.
Summary: These do seem to suffer quite badly with signal loss, or have a high impedance, or something, as I have to turn the volume on my Sony Walkman up to 10-12, before I get a decent volume from these speakers (as opposed to 3-5 when using headphones). As to clarity of sound, that seems to depend on the quality of the recording, as much as anything, although they seem to reproduce electronic/dance, acoustic and indie rock music the clearest.
