Excerpt: I’m indiscriminately attracted to portable electronics. That’s why I added hamburger speakers or capsule speakers, whatever they’re called, into my office wish-list. I didn’t mind something that came from CD-R king, I heard they’re selling their own at a cheaper expense.
Excerpt: As far as portable speakers go, not many can match the price and product of the X-Mini II speaker. Selling at a base of 29.99, but easily found for less on the web, it’s an alluring little piece of technology that goes a long way.
Summary: Great-sounding little speaker perfect for watching movies on a small portable laptop. Unfortunately the longer audio to usb cable stopped working pretty quickly which left me using the super short one. That cable is too short to even leave the speakers next to the laptop while it's in your lap. It either has to dangle there or sit on top of it, obstructing your view.
Summary: I don't know if this a knock off or what. The all black model (GSI X-mini 2) I bought years ago was way better than this. The volume control on this is horrible. When you turn the volume up, the sound cuts off, you have to fiddle with it to find that sweet spot where sound is actually produced.
Summary: Amazing sound output. I recommend using the supplied longer audio cable to connect through usb/aux, it's more convenient and lasts much longer than the very short aux cable. Battey life is amazing. If you're playing on full power non stop, it will last about 5-7 hours. However say you use this at home to workout, and use it for an hour a day at med-high power, once charge can last about a month. Simply amazing.
Summary: I really love this speaker. It actually had more power than I expected from such a small package. It can really fill a bedroom with some quality sound. It's also very portable and the battery lasts nearly forever. Recommended!
Summary: Surprisingly good sound for such a small, portable and inexpensive speaker. I'm considering another to give me a little more volume and fullness when camping or on the beach with friends. Such an improvement over some of the tinny horrible speakers I've heard that often cost as much or more.
