Excerpt: I’m indiscriminately attracted to portable electronics. That’s why I added hamburger speakers or capsule speakers, whatever they’re called, into my office wish-list. I didn’t mind something that came from CD-R king, I heard they’re selling their own at a cheaper expense.
Summary: Before I purchased this item, I had purchased a similar one for about $5. It was a better than my built in laptop computer speakers. However, I decided I wanted something better. This item is a whole lot better. The sound is surprisingly good for what it is. My only complaint is with the instruction manual. It has the smallest font that I have ever seen for a manual by far. It took two reading glasses, one worn over the other.
Excerpt: As far as portable speakers go, not many can match the price and product of the X-Mini II speaker. Selling at a base of 29.99, but easily found for less on the web, it’s an alluring little piece of technology that goes a long way.
Summary: I don't know if this a knock off or what. The all black model (GSI X-mini 2) I bought years ago was way better than this. The volume control on this is horrible. When you turn the volume up, the sound cuts off, you have to fiddle with it to find that sweet spot where sound is actually produced.
Excerpt: I received this X-Mini II speaker for Christmas and didn't have high hopes for it. I've had many portable speakers which have frankly been quite rubbish and sound like the music is in a different room! This is totally the opposite! WOW!!! You won't believe that sound is coming from such a small device. The speaker is extremely compact and takes up minimal room and is easy to carry about.
Excerpt: Ok, not my windows, but it did blow my mind away, and every friend I had and heard this little thing turned on, was just as amazed. It is an amazing little "toy" indeed. I got it about a year and a half ago when I did not yet have my 2.1 system, but I did need something for my laptop with some extra punch in the sound. First of all, here's a wee secret. If you happen to want to buy this for under £10, because you'll see some offer God knows where, restrain yourself.
Excerpt: My brother used to have 3 of these little bad boys which he would connect up to each other and use for his phone. After hearing how good the sound quality was i decided to get my boyfriend one, you can get them in many different colours but the black and red was the cheapest (i think it was about £12) so i went for that one. He absolutely loves it, when using it you cant tell from the sound that it is such a small speaker.
Excerpt: This was part of a gift along with my new I pod for Christmas, so I don't know the price paid, though it seems to be around £10-20 on various sites, less on Ebay. I was not convinced of my need for a speaker (who else wants to hear my taste in music?!), but on first try I was sold with a capital S. The product Prior to use it is a small round speaker, approximately 5 cm in diameter by 3 cm tall.
