Put Velcro on their Bottoms To Make 'Em Stick Together!
24 May 2014
Summary: I purchased the X-Mini UNO and just love it. I thought about getting the Max speaker pair, but I wanted the convenience of having just one speaker to worry about - not two. I read some of the reviews lamenting the weak magnets that don't really hold them together as one unit. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have bought the pair and just stuck some strong Velcro on their bottoms to effectively make them a ONE piece two-sided speaker.
Summary: the best portable speakers you can get. i dropped one in the bath and it survived. its been a year and they have been a great help at bbq, camping, hotel, beach and parks. i never leave the house without one in my bag!
Summary: The USB ports on these are very fragile. I have one speaker that's useless now because the charging port doesn't work, and I can't get it replaced via the warranty. The sound is good, but if you don't absolutely baby these things, they fall apart. I wasn't even that rough with them - they stayed in the carrying bag.
Stereo Compact Speaker are Better than Computer Speakers.
7 April 2014
Summary: I was hoping to find a LOUDER stereo speaker system for my laptop than what I all ready have. These played fine but were not as loud as what I all ready have for external speakers and they do not play as well on bass. There is nothing wrong with them, just not as loud or do they play as low as what I have. Price wise, these are a good value.
Summary: The tiny --almost golf ball sized-- speakers are better than I expected and serve my purpose of having speakers (instead of headphones or earpieces) for listening to audio books and, occasionally, even music. I cannot say they reproduce with the depth, balance and power of much larger speakers (I have broadcast grade units in my studio,) but for the size they are both strong and surprisingly pleasant sounding.
