Very Happy Customer

Petra M., Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased these little guys for my twenty something son, who travels a great deal due to his job. The company laptop he was given and which he has to take along on his trips, can handle a lot of things, but the sound capabilities on the system truly leave a lot to be desired. While he is sitting in front of his laptop somewhere in the world filling out his expense reports or performing some other work, he likes to listen to music, which up until the arrival of the...

  • Summary: Great sound and thoughtful design updates from the previous model. I daisy chain them without issue to the previous egg shape model. Awesome for outdoor workouts.

good sound

  • Summary: The sound is great and the portability is great. The only trouble with these is that at loud volumes, the speakers themselves would rattle on the shelf because they are light. Otherwise, surprisingly good sound and quality.

Put Velcro on their Bottoms To Make 'Em Stick Together!

Tekrad, Amazon
24 May 2014
  • Summary: I purchased the X-Mini UNO and just love it. I thought about getting the Max speaker pair, but I wanted the convenience of having just one speaker to worry about - not two. I read some of the reviews lamenting the weak magnets that don't really hold them together as one unit. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have bought the pair and just stuck some strong Velcro on their bottoms to effectively make them a ONE piece two-sided speaker.

Excellent sound

  • Summary: For their size, they put out potent sound. The previous "plastic" models from another vendor became sticky after a year or so of use on our boat. These are nice and sturdy.

Not bad

  • Summary: I just received these today and gave them a short audition. At first they would not play in stereo mode using the included charing/playing cable. I was able to get them going using the cable that is built into each unit. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the sound they put out. They sound nice and full for their size when you piggy back the two of them together with one plugged into the other.

Handle with care

ScubaSteve, Amazon

  • Summary: The USB ports on these are very fragile. I have one speaker that's useless now because the charging port doesn't work, and I can't get it replaced via the warranty. The sound is good, but if you don't absolutely baby these things, they fall apart. I wasn't even that rough with them - they stayed in the carrying bag.

Not the Greatest!

madster07 "SITA DEVI", Amazon
11 April 2014
  • Summary: I purchased these to listen to music on my computer and to make the sound louder on some of the movie/TV shows I stream. After only having them for a couple of months, one of the speakers cannot be charged unless I stick a piece of paper or something in between the connector and the port because the connection is loose and it won't stay on charge without it. If turned up too loud the speakers sometimes sound tinny.
