Summary: Bought this sound bar for my father-in-law who recently purchased his first flat-screen HDTV and was complaining about loss of sound quality that he used to have with his 20 yr-old 65" projection TV. He has a Visio LED HDTV, so I thought I would buy a Visio soundbar/subwoofer to go with it. The performance is very good for a soundbar/subwoofer product and the price, via ebay, was reasonable. And most importantly, my father-in-law is very happy with it.
Summary: This is a really nice sound bar. My new tv has no RCA outputs for sound so the SPDIF input is Pretty handy. Only drawback is that i have to use the vizio remote for sound as my current cable remote wont work with the sound bar.
Summary: I purchased a used unit from a local pawn shop, and it works great. Everything functions as it should and the led lights within the speaker mesh look really sharp. I can't believe the difference it makes over the basic TV speakers. When I shut off this unit and put on the TV sound it sounds sick and I can't believe I listened for years. I would urge you that, unless you're TV has some type of high end sound, to purchase this or a similar unit.
Summary: I bought this speaker system because i have a vizio TV, and I also wanted to enhance my experience playing games, and watching movies . I like this system because it packs a nice sound without a receiver. I underestimated it thinking it wouldn't sound this loud at first. What I dislike about it is that it doesn't have a wide range to receive signal from the remote control, so at times u struggle to turn up or down the volume.
Summary: The product is great, the sound fills the room, the sub-woofer is not a joke! I can feel it on the other side of the house. It has made watching TV even more enjoyable, music sounds great coming out of it, I hear things I never heard before.
Summary: I added this to my HDTV to get a better sound system. It might be great to have a thin tv panel, but that doesn't allow for speakers to be quality. This helps a lot. The only little problem I have is knowing that I shut it off as it give no indication. Have remedied this by adding a universal remote. Also a little difficult to tell what the lights on the unit tell me re volume especailly. But mostly once you have it set you done and the lights don't have to matter.
Summary: I purchased a refurbished version of the VSB200 B (bar only without the subwoofer. It performs very well but I would like to add the subwoofer. Does anyone offer the subwoofer only, either refurbished or new?
Summary: This is a basic system with decent sound, far from state of the art sound. It blows away the standard speakers in your average flat screen TV but is far from others I have seen. It is very simple to install and very easy to operate and understand. The sub woofer being wireless is very convenient and easy to use and adjust. overall if you could pick this up at a good price it's worth the investment.
Summary: A great system for the price. Pro's: Easy to set up (although I used an optical cable, which was not included, to connect.) Great sound and looks great. Con's: The remote could be improved, however, you can program the VSB210WS to a universal remote.
