Summary: The sound quality is less than average of the expectancy I had hopes for after reading all the praise and positive reviews left from many others. To make matters worse, the left speaker does not work due to the audio cable that links both speakers being a loose fit on that speaker and as a result, the sound keeps cutting in and out all the time on that specific speaker.
DON'T HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS-YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

Summary: Received my QSB's promptly and thought packaging and service from Amazon very good. A little black case with red banding and a zip, the whole enclosed in a protective clear plastic outer. Excitedly unpacked made the only two connections required into my laptop and out came the music from my iTunes collection……..what a disappointment!!!!!!

Summary: If you're looking for a replacement for your desktop speakers, and you're a lover of base, move along as you will be disappointed.
Going by all these raving reviews, as well as recommended on What Hi-Fi, I thought "For £19, it's worth a punt, lets see if that is true". For the RRP of £80-90 these are certainly not worth it, and reflect on their now discount price. For £20? Yes, they are worth that. Will they be better than your laptop speakers?
I'm sure they would sound great, but they are too quiet for me.

Summary: I wanted to use these with a Raspberry PI as a little audio streaming option for a small study, however they are just too quiet and have gone in the drawer. I have tried boosting the mixer settings in Linux for the loudest possible output, to no avail. Indeed they are so quiet I can't imagine they'd be much use attached to a laptop either. You aren't going to get room-filling sound out of these. A 4W pair of computer speakers from PC World were louder.
Summary: If you want a sound you can stand away from to dance to or hear whilst you are busy doing housework then don't buy these. Okay for watching a movie but if like me you watch in bed, you'll not be able to move them away from the laptop as the lead is not long enough to place further away -say at the side of the bed and so will have to negotiate 2 (not that light) speakers that have to stay close to the monitor.
Summary: I purchased a set of these after seeing the What HiFi rating they received. I actually got a pair for about £45 as ex-demo instead of the £69 being asked here. Even at £45 I feel ripped off by these speakers. The design and look is solid and the build quality is pretty weighty and honest feeling. The connecting cable is of a serious quality, in my opinion way too good for the quality of the sound....
