Bluetooth Speaker with one significant omission
23 February 2013
Summary: By G. Ware Cornell Jr. "anotherlawyer" Getting audio out of the cloud has become an obsession among audio hardware manufacturers. Bluetooth is obviously a workable election and Creative, the people who brought you Sound Blaster in the early days of the PC revolution has joined the party. The SBX10 wireless BT speaker is solid. There is a PC and Mac app for this system but most will use it from a Droid or iOS device, in my case my iPhone and iPad.
Summary: By P. MSakamoto "boy clothes" Summary: The SBX10 is a good, multi-purpose speaker. It also doubles as a conference phone when using Skype or other net phone communication service. It has a few control quirks, but those are tolerable and have work arounds. I would give it another star if they had included an AC power brick to go with the USB power cord. Pros: * Speaker + noise canceling microphone. I've used it for Skype and GoToMeeting, and it works very well.
Summary: By William V. Hayes "guitfiddleblue" I have been using this with my computer for a couple of weeks now and really like it. The concept of having a stereo field out of 1 unit rather than 2 is not necessarily new, but you still don't see it that often. I listened to various styles of music through it and found it to do reasonably well with most styles.
Summary: By Damodar Chetty If you thought that a microphone-speaker combo for music, movies, and VOIP calls was too good to be true, then you would be right. This unit looks cool, and its touch controls are futuristic beyond belief. However, music over these speakers lacked a complete sound stage and exhibited a compressed range (though turning on its expanded bass range did help a bit.) A clear case where performance needed to be compromised at the altar of portability.
Summary: By andres the sound is good for the shape of this device also i think is loud enough for a room the bluetooth works great after upgrading its firmware. cons: didnt come with the wall conector it needs to work conected to power all the time cuz its not built in battery
Summary: By homer quan This product seems more suitable for youtube blogger and communication (high quality mic) . The FX voice effect will be interesting to gamer. The sound quality is not as good as most other creative two way speaker. But the single usb connection will be useful for those who like tidy desktop. Actually after one day usage, I found the position of the speaker effect a lot: put it in the right middle front of you will make stereo better.
