Summary: Sound is good enough but nothing great. They're small and sleek, so they look great, but I wanted really great power & sound. I was looking for great bass and great range. These speakers play mid-level sound fairly well but their range is limited. Their volume capability is mediocre as well.
Summary: For cheap PC speakers, these sound pretty good compared to my old ones. They are just slightly above average for music though, lacking deep sound (in my opinion...). Still giving it 5 stars due to price-quality ratio.
Summary: I have never been too disappointed in Sony's audio products. Being a bit of an audiophile, I take music listening very seriously and have high expectations. These speakers are definitely not professional quality, but they exceed my expectations. For the price, and for how small the actual speakers are, they are fantastic. As with all Sony audio equipment, they lean on the bass. This is something I prefer, but it's not for everyone.
Summary: I really like these speakers. They are not too large and look good and have great sound quality. I like the volume knob on the unit and the ability to plug earphones into them if preferred. Only complaint is that the cord is a little short to plug the main speaker into my computer which I keep under my desk. Barely reaches it and would prefer to have more length to place them optimally behind my computer screen.
Summary: Warm sound, great for listening to music while working. Lots of mid-bass around 125hz. Switched to these speakers from Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers, which by comparison had lots of headache-inducing harsh treble and wall-shaking bass even at lowest setting which was causing neighbor complaints. Beautiful design. Very compact, saves lots of desk space. Yet produces big sound for such a compact size.
