Summary: This system sounds great, plenty loud for what I use it for....mostly music on the PC and youtube. I would give it 5 stars except the volume knob/wheel is hard at get to to change volume when it spikes on some videos. My old cheaper system also had a tone knob, which this doesn't. But the sound with the subwoofer is great, and the 2 desktop speakers are clear and strong.
Summary: I bought these from another store for around $50 and I have to say, Not Bad At All! The Satellite speakers, while 2 Watts each sound crisp and clear, they get extremely loud without distortion. I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say it sounds muffled, given I have my EQ turned up on the bass and a little bit on the treble side on WinAMP, they certainly don't sound muffled. The Satellites are actually probably the redeeming feature of the Stereo System.
Summary: this is by far the best $36 speakers i ever bought they sound great. the subwoofer is great greatly recommended way too good for this price tag should cost more and the 2 satellite speakers have good ass bass sound.
Summary: ok well first of all these speakers are perfect for listening to music or playing (some) games like call of duty. the subwoofer is louder than i expected it to be and i just love it. i would totally recommend this speaker but if you have more money i would recommend something with a higher price or a pc 5.1- 7.1 surround sound speakers system
Summary: ....BUT I'm REALLY getting 'sick and tired' of these devices being 'hardwired' from one speaker to another. What I've noticed is that after a while the wires 'fail' and you have to buy a new system. That instead of buying new wires. It's a Dilbertism. See.... [...] Instead of software, with these products it's the hardware.
Summary: I purchased this speaker system a few weeks ago for [...] (includes shipping) which beats the Best Buy price of [...]. I find the sound to be very good and setup was simple. There are no tone controls (including bass) which I knew going in from a prior review, but the sound quality and bass are very good. The system will distort if you try to crank up the volume so this is a better set for situations in which you are listening at mid-volume levels.
Summary: Bought these for my son who is a total gamer and he loves them. The only problem is he can't turn them up because the sound is so good that they overpower his room. What a problem to have for a teenager! Amazon price was much better than Target who carries the same set so I'm happy I found them here.
Summary: Easy setup, very well designed. In fact, I had purchased one of these systems, but it was burned down in a house fire (not due to anything electrical), and found this exact system to replace it. Definite buy!
Summary: I'm not surprised that the used ones are going for a marginal difference from a new one, because it is a pretty decent pair of speakers. You can listen to a good range of sounds I'm not audiophilic, but here are my points of view Cons The volume control is fixed to the speaker and the wheel is really small, so that can get a bit annoying as you have to feel your way though. Sub woofer may be a tad small, but not too much of a concern.
