I use a Mac 10.4.11 , & with bluetooth setup assistant have paired my Sony SRS-BT100 speaker. However when I click on this in Bluetooth Preferences / Devices, it comes up paired - Yes , this device doesn't have necessary services. Connected - No. In System preferences / Sound there are internal speakers but this SRS-BT100 speaker doesn't appear nor does it appear in itunes. Software update tells me that for this OS I have the latest software. Am I missing a minor setting or something which can rectify this so I can stream music from Itunes through this speaker? Will much appreciate any possible assistance :}

Hello everyone! I bought the SRS BT 100 bluetooth speaker for Christmas but it doesn't work properly. If I connect it to my mobile phone it works perfectly, but if I connect it to my laptop no sound comes out, or if it does (not always and I don't know when) it comes and goes. Is it a matter of bluetooth version? is somewhere I can download a new version? Thank you for your help.

First place I would try is the Sony website and see if there are drivers there for it.. as for bluetooth, if you're using the windows BT stack then it should be updated automatically, if you're using the Toshiba BT stack then you'll have to find the update from

Hi, This has also been sending me around the bend. I resolved it by disabling the speakers on my laptop. To do this go into control panel, then hardware and sound, then change system sound. Select your speakers and disable them. This allowed me to connect to play music through the speakers.

Try to check the manual and try to reinstall the Bluetooth software on your Laptop. You might have gone wrong somewhere. 1) go to Bluetooth devices and right-click the SRS-BT100 speaker icon, 2)Select "Control" (this will open a new window) 3)Select "SCMS-T Settings" 4)Un-check the box next to "Connect to a device only if it supports SCMS-T content protection" 5)"Apply" setting 6)Click the "Connect" button That should work.
Does anyone know of a connection problem? I recently purchased this speaker and it indicates being connected to my laptop but no sound comes out of the speaker. I have blue tooth on my laptop, which is a IBM Thinkpad. I would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks Debbie
