Absolutey disgusted by this poor technology

Guy Hallen, Amazon
8 April 2015
  • Summary: Stay far away from Pioneer, especially if you're in Canada. We bought this speaker in 2013, it worked for 3-4 months with sad performance (it kept forgetting the network settings) and then quit - the blue "on" button was flashing, the battery light was blue and the entire unit was unresponsive (dear...

Not DLNA speaker.

Summaya Mohiuddin, Amazon
9 April 2014
  • Summary: This is not a DLNA speaker. Pioneer is misrepresenting their claim that it is a DLNA compliant speaker, but it is not. One can play music from internet, directly from a smartphone, but not from a DLNA server.

Worst piece of crap I've purchased

Peter C., Amazon
18 February 2014
  • Summary: This thing is HORRIBLE. For whatever reason, it fails continually to connect to a WiFi network. I thought it was my router and upgraded to a new one. Nope. It wasn't the router. Customer service also stinks. Try to get some help with this online. Go ahead, I dare you.

Overly complex, unreliable, and mediocre sound

Mark A. Peskin, Amazon
5 November 2013
  • Summary: Although the discounted price for this unit seemed like a bargain, the Pioneer XW-SMA3 was ultimately a big disappointment. While it supports a large number of connectivity options, switching between them is a non-intuitive hassle that means you will probably never free yourself of the awkwardly...

poor product

Aki, Amazon
27 September 2014
  • Summary: Delivery was quick, thanks. - but I'm not happy with the product itself. Set up was quite complicated just because the instruction was written very poorly. I managed to figure it out but almost gave up and thought of returning the product.

Very poor. Don't waste your money

S. Wilson "sw", Amazon
3 January 2013
  • Summary: I am very disappointed with this unit. The direct play from an iPhone is useless, it drops out before I can even play a complete track. Connected to the home wifi network, it will dropout even is the unit is 10 yards away from the router with no walls in between.
