"Small package in a clever design"

cinnamongirl2009, CNET

  • Pros: These are cleverly designed speakers that are easy to carry. A big improvement from the SBA1500 which these are based on, is the addition of USB power, eliminating the need to replace/recharge batteries. Great price.
  • Cons: Don't expect these small speakers to sound like a high-end sound system, but they do a decent job and are improvement over most built-in laptop speakers. There is no volume control on the speakers, only and on/off switch.

  • Summary: these are not bad week speakers for there size, there good clear sound and loud enough to be happy with, they have base but not much, but again for the size there better than most similar speakers. they run with or without (by usb) 3xaaa batterys with one cable that is if you want to run your moblie or mp3 player of it (in my case the mobile mp3 player)however if your running it from usb it gets messy with cables ..

Compact but quiet

Michael , Naaptol

  • Summary: I may be the exception, but I need a laptop speaker compact enough for travel, but small enough to fit in a little laptop bag. I travel and conduct presentations for groups of 10-30 people. Airline treatment of my luggage forces me to take all my electronics as carry on, but restrictions on carry on luggage limit the size of speaker I can use. The speakers have a nice sound quality with no distortion at maximum volume.
