Summary: They look good, the sound is OK, but they are only a little louder and a little clearer than my laptop's built-in speakers. Considering that they're on the bulky side, they're not worth bringing with you if you want to play them somewhere other than home.
Summary: They look like the picture. The coiling feature underneath is relatively worthless. They have a USB powersource which you can plugin into your CPU or the wall. The sound is kinda meh. It's okay for desktop speakers, but don't expect something wonderful. Buy these mostly if you want the aesthetic of black/yellow/white. They look nice though.
Summary: Look great, work good. These are USB powered speakers so they do blink out when things get load. These are a great match for your Airport Express. Allows you to have and place speakers anywhere. Only one power cord (to the Airport Express) making placing your base station and speakers clean and easy.
Summary: Just like the front of the package says "We are cute, but we party hard!" Its very true. I got these today because my girlfriend and I have been watching movies on my laptop and sometimes the volume on my laptop just SUCKS Well anyway, got these today, and tried that out of a few music videos, and WOW these tiny things can get LOUD. And that's the good loud. They have some serious bass potential and I am very surprised and happy. These tiny things pack a punch!
Summary: When it has came down to laptop computers, more of them do need a set of speakers specifically designed for their use, especially if you are burning to a CD or DVD for backup, or downloading your favorite movies and music. Phillips have made a good stride with making good products for the computer, These Phillips Notebook USB Speakers really work very well, and deliver a distinctive sound that works great with anything.
Summary: These speakers are good value for your money. The sound is not very sharp but you can't expect everything at this price. I really like these speakers and they are very handy when I watch videos on my laptop.
Summary: i'm not sure if i was expecting too much from $16.00 speakers, but these speakers don't sound very good to me. i've tried changing equalizer settings through my laptop, but pretty much everything is just dim, barely not muffled sound. i asked for these as a gift based on the reviews and generally favorable reviews for other Phillips speakers.
