Summary: I am stoked about this product. I went to a local Goodwill store, and bought these speakers for 6 bucks. I just needed some for my desk at work. I must be a retard because I thought it came with only one speaker and then some funky looking dome shaped music maker. I used it with my Zune with only one speaker. The sound was good. Then I realized it was another speaker attached to a circular piece of electronics with an on/off switch.
Summary: I got a Droid X and put my MP3 library on the generous 16GB SD card. I've been shopping, including mail order, for travel speakers. Forget price. Up until now everything I tried was either small and tinny sounding or too big for an overnight bag. Again, forget price. I'm ashamed of how much money and time I've spent comparing travel speakers and the time I've put into returns.
Summary: These Phillips speakers are a great little set. I can plug them into my laptop in the livingroom and hear great quality sound while I am out on my patio. I actually turned them down because I thought I might be annoying the neighbors. People have complained that there is no AC plug - only a battery. Not a problem if you use rechargeable batteries with the speaker set. I had also purchased the similar Sony SRS P11Q and found them to be awful.
Summary: I use these speakers in an internship class, to have our work reviewed by the class and the instructor. Most of us use digital records now so trying to listen to everything real good is almost impossible. They may not work real good for music, I just don't know. But for what I needed they are great. My instructor liked them so much I have bought a pair for her and the counseling department to use for students in the program still. I will be graduating Nov. 21st.
Summary: The Philips SBA1500 portable speaker system is both convenient and efficient. The system can be used with any mp3 player or any CD player with earphone hookups. It is superior to most speaker systems because it has a built in driver that produces a fuller sound than many other speaker systems. They fill up a small room and even work well outdoors. It stores in a convenient little ball and has a fool proof set-up.
Summary: For the price, these speakers do what they're supposed to. They play your music, at reasonable volumes with decent quality, and connect together for portability when not in use. For anyone who expects stellar sound quality at high volumes in the $20 range, I think it's time to get a little more realistic. They function as they should and do a good job at it. If that's not what you're looking for, plan on digging a little deeper into your wallet.
Summary: I received these speakers with the little amplifier as a Christmas gift from my mom and dad. I am very pleased. I am amazed at the sound I get from these speakers considering how small they are. They are very stylish as well. I love the way they look. These speakers put the little black speaker set i used to have to shame. I have had these less than a day and am enjoying them immensely.
Summary: I have been looking for reasonably priced speakers for several months in the chain stores. Well tonight I found them. All others were docking stations for the iPods that were impractible to pack in a small suitcase or briefcase, costing anywhere from 79. to 200+ Well that is no longer a problem. The sound is fine, the size excellent. Do they sound the same as my BOSE headphones? No. They are not supposed to. You get a great sized pair of speakers that run on 3 AAA.
Summary: These speakers work very well. I took them to work and the sound fills the medium-sized office, even over the equipment noise. For tiny speakers, the sound quality is excellent. If I didn't like theese speakers so much, I'd give them only 4 stars because they're kind of bulky for carrying around with you everywhere, even in the "egg" shape - you can't just throw them in your purse.
