Do not buy. Customer service is poor. The two year warranty is not worth the shipping costs.

Summary: When I received the subwoofer it developed the very loud hum after 3 months. When I emailed NXG for the location of a local service center they did not give me a yes or no just a standard form email with a shipping address.
Summary: I received this subwoofer 3 days after ordering it in as advertised shape, and found it to work quite satisfactorily. It's a decent looking piece that sounds great. I'm pleased so far, though I hope it lasts a while.

Summary: NXG 500 sub I’ve read many good reviews but was not impressed at all and actually quite a disappointed. I spent over $1,200 very carefully and patiently on my current HT set: Onkyo 636 AVR, Fluance X series center, 2 XL7 front towers with extra Dolby Atmos on the tops, surround Fluance XLB bipolars...
Awesome Bass, Took my already awesome system to the next Level.

Summary: I have 3 surround sound systems hook -up. This sub was purchased for My best system which is a 7.1, consisting of PSB Image T65 fronts, C50 center, S50 surround Bipolar, and Alpha b1 rears. My original sub for this set-up was a Cadence CSX 12 mark II.
Summary: Consistently review by high-end home theater magazines as an incredible performer at a low price point - and they are RIGHT! This sub will add the low end in your movies, or rattle the teeth out of your mouth with some deep house techno - but it never 'splats out' or becomes a mess.
Summary: Very pleased with this sub. It integrated perfectly with my system and sound wonderful at all volumes. Time will tell how it holds up, but out of the box it's a strong performer. I was influenced by the fact it uses Class D amplification, which runs much cooler than any other circuitry.
Summary: This subwoofer met all my expectations (which were very high). It reproduces excellent quality lows and is easy to setup and adjust volume and crossover. The latter two are typical of higher end subs, but this one is a middle range sub with higher end performance, and a clean looking case.
