Summary: First of all these speakers sound pretty good and look smart, as covered in other reviews. However I find it hard to recommend them because of a number of niggling issues. For a start there's no way to put the speakers in stand-by, they're either on or off and when you turn them off they lose their previous volume setting and power on in mute mode (which is beyond daft).
Summary: I bought these to solve my problem of bad sound from the TV. Unfortunately I have had problems. a. The small hand remote is a fiddle to use. b. It is very directional towards one loudspeaker only. c. There is a small degree of lack of sound synchronization with movement. Very noticeable in closeup speech. I am sure the sound can be good but it was a mistake to buy it for a TV.
Summary: Microlabs SOLO1c(08) Audio 2.0 System Speaker - Wooden Case - the bass speaker stopped working after a few days and the feeble cable broke soon afterwards. then one of the feet fell off. a waste of £52.
Summary: The speakers were a little larger than anticipated but have a quality look about them with attractive timber sides. Very easy to install with clear instructions provided. The sound quality is excellent with plenty of bass when needed. I wanted speakers for playing classical music and to my mind they are ideal for this purpose. Overall, excellent value for money. I was also impressed at the delivery arrangements which took no more than a few days.
Summary: I spent a good deal of time looking around for some bookshelf speakers for my computer. I decided early on that I wanted a cheap but decent quality 2.0 system for music use as opposed to the awful 2.1 bass heavy systems that currently over crowd the PC speaker market. I initially opted for the Microlab Solo6c on the strength of some of the web reviews it has received. Before buying though, I had a look at what other products Microlab had to offer and came across these.
Summary: Higly recommended for anyone looking in a "serious" pair of high quality bookshelf PC speakers. Solid build with nice wooden cabinets, strong and responsive sound... Reference tracks: Tom Waits - Get Behind the Mule; the Rolling Stones - Ventilator Blues/I Just Want to See His Face; MMW - Queen Bee. These babies swallow these pieces with joy and ease.
Summary: Great Speakers, ideal fora multimedia installation, come with a remote so no need to have anyone to mess with changing the controls, It has 2 inputs, so means I can connect it to a wallbox and present both a 3.5mm, and phono inputs which cover most DVD/computers/MP3 players. Good sound and plenty of volume. Definately a good choice.
