Summary: Really good speakers for your PC and at 50 I think are a good deal. However, when you switch on or off, you get a really loud popping sound. Even if the volume control is set to min, you get an unhealthy "pop!" Not what you'd expect from otherwise a quality product. Can anyone else that owns these confirm they get the POP!! too, or are mine faulty?
Summary: Gob-smackingly good sound for the price! I bought this system for my son, connected it to his xBox 360 and the smile hasn't left his face since! I hooked my iPod to it just to see how it handled audio and the sound isn't that far off that produced by my £400 surround system in my living room. Only negative comments are the volume control isn't as sensitive and linear as it should be, and the speaker cables could be longer.
Summary: Bought these after reading all the good reviews here but the bass did not seem to work at all on the one I bought so returned for a refund. The kit certainly seems to be nice quality, good construction.
Summary: I've always used Logitech speakers for their prestige quality, however, I saw these while looking to upgrade to a bigger system and these seemed a very reasonable price with great reviews, about 6 weeks after purchasing and they're fantastic! If you're looking for control over what sounds you want out, then this is for you, with options to increase the bass, surround sound and more with a handy remote a great buy!
Conclusion: Speaker Case and cables look and feel cheap so not a 'show piece' but quality of sound VERY good for the price. Not as loud as I'd hoped but if your over 21 its plenty loud enough ! On the whole good buy for me.
Summary: Item looks great, it is a shame volume cannot go any louder. Having said that the sub woofer more than compensating. At times it can be too much. Brilliant for effects when playing blu ray and DVD. Sometimes speakers have periodic popping sound. Unsure why, but keeping an eye. Altogether aesthetically pleasing and does the job.
Summary: I got these after my previous speakers of a similar price broke, and have to say I'm in awe of the sound quality and price offered! Not without it's minor niggles though. The subwoofer is really quite big, and combined with the amount of wires and separate parts means these are not the easiest to transport around the house. And while the subwoofer does produce some fantastic bass, you can't listen to anything without it.
Summary: I wanted a simple, high quality 2.1 speaker set up for my PC. Initially, I was going to go for the Corsair sp2500 system @ £180. Yes, the Corsairs are better ... but, not £130 better! (obviously 'sound quality' is purely subjective, and some people may disagree with me) The build is excellent, as is the design (if aesthetics are important to you) and will make your ears & eyes smile. And all for only £50!
