Summary: These developed a loud hiss and popping, which I cannot get rid of now. They are beyond newegg's 60 day return policy, so I now I have a pair of hissing paper weights. I will check the manufacturer site to see if something can be done but I suspect I'm out of luck. Spend your money elsewhere.
Pros: -Sound great -great bass response
Cons: -big, barely fit on desk -broke after a few months
Pros: ONE EGG ONLY BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT NO EGGS. Out of the box they sounded great. But since they failed right away they still make good bookends, or maybe a doorstop!
Cons: They quit working but M-audio was to cheap to fix them because I had recieved them as a gift, even though they could prove they were not more than a few months old. I took them apart and was not impressed with the way they were asembled. (Looked like sweatshop work to me.)
Cons: A little pricey. One year to the day, the amplifier started to buzz. This is not a ground loop issue. I can plug it in anyplace in the house and the amplifier buzzes. This is without any input, just the power connected. I gave it one egg for one year of use.
Summary: Had to pay $13 to ship the first ones back for replacement, not spending that again. Also, generally Egg is great but these were shipped in the original box and arrived really worked over. I think my first review was 4 stars which still applies when they work.
Pros: Sound great... when they work.
Cons: The on/off stopped working on the first pair. On the second pair the right tweeter buzzes whenever you plug in the left speaker. It's not the cable.
