Summary: Not happy with the results on this system I have a Logitech Z623 (2.1) system that I have went back to. No umphm in the bass. 4 satellite don't sound as good. I wished I didn't buy this. I wish I could post the difference in these two systems to prove my point.
Pros: sturdy satellite and sub woofer construction, plenty of wire to run the individual speakers to where desired.
Cons: even with my Sound Blaster Z sound card, and blu-ray disks i could not recreate a worthy sound form my home theater. i've tried every known configuration to amp up or even clarify the sub-quality output. plus dull, weak bass sound from the sub-woofer. Finally after mentioning all above, the price ...
Pros: Sound is terrific, very clear. Guy complaining about type D vs Type AB amps doesn't know what he's talking about. Large number of inputs.
Cons: Logitech offers no support. If anything goes wrong and it's out of warranty, you have an expensive paperweight on your hands. You can't even pay to get it fixed, you can't get a replacement part, all you can do is throw it in the trash.
Summary: 3-wire cable (green, orange, black) is 2 feet shorter than the cable I had from my previous Klipsch setup. C'mon Logitech, why skimp on length of cable? My Sub-sits 8 feet from my controller - 2 more feet needed which won't kill you to provide.
Pros: Sound very good (I had Klipsch ProMedia 5.1's that died; the Logitech have a very clean, comparably better sound).
Cons: Well, upon first setup, while connecting the left-rear speaker wire, the red spring clip lever came off in my hand. I tediously set the red lever back in place, but it easily comes back out of it's socket and does not hold the speaker wire in place. RMA in process - I am disappointed in the build...
Summary: This is my second pair, the first came with defective satellites, now the sub on this one is a piece of junk. I think I'm done with Logitech. It's really annoying to spend 330.99 on a product that is worth way less than its priced at, and annoying when it comes defective both times.
Pros: They have good bass, kinda. At least the satellites work this time.
Cons: The sub makes an annoying rattling noise when playing anything, its really annoying as it audibly stands out.
Power and sound quality wins, appearance and some functions a loss

Summary: I take it to heart to give honest reviews and what/how my expectations are met. The Z906 met my expectations in the sound quality and power areas, but left quite a bit in the appearance/functionality. I will break them down quickly for you to make your own final opinion.
Summary: I bought this from Amazon around Dec 2012,thought it sounded great till it broke down , not a light or wimper a couple of months ago.Changed connection to digital optic, worked fine till today,no lights...dead. Seen so many reviews saying how good this was.
