Great Sound, but BIG!

Corey T., Newegg
12 February 2015
  • Summary: I love the sound that this speaker set puts out! It took me a little adjusting to get it the way I like it, but that's more a function of my system rather than my speakers. I only have the bass turned about a quarter of the way up and I can feel the thumping in my chest!
  • Pros: -Awesome bass -Sturdy
  • Cons: The sub is VERY large

Nice set of PC speakers

Tony C., Newegg
6 February 2015
  • Summary: Quite a nice upgrade over built-in monitor or laptop speakers. You can actually hear things!
  • Pros: -Several years of ownership and stiff running strong. -No complications -Easy to install -My neighbors love them (kidding)
  • Cons: Sub is pretty large for a set of PC speakers, not recommended if you have a small desk or little room available.

  • Summary: I really recommend getting theses speakers if you are looking for some decent quality speakers. They can get really loud, and the bass has the ability to shake the room some.If you don't like a lot of bass, you can control how much bass the sub-woofer puts out.

So close Logitech...

Anonymous, Newegg

  • Summary: All of the things I have said in this review I already knew before I made this purchase. I always research everything before I buy it, and knew about most of the drawback before I bought them. Just not the how bad the uneven distribution of the wattage would effect overall sound quality.
  • Pros: This system packs a lot of power with not that bad of a price tag. You won't find a better deal in this price range. 200 watts RMS (continuous) power. That's 35 watts per satellite and 130 watts for the subwoofer. Overall build quality is what you would expect from Logitech. Satellites feel heavy...
  • Cons: This is a great speaker system with a few issues that Logitech really needs to address. First and foremost, the wattage on all of the speakers should be pulled more tightly together. The subwoofer is 130 watts and each satellite is only 35 watts. Meaning that when you start to crank this thing up...

Ryan M., Newegg
16 October 2014
  • Summary: I like these. Music sounds great, TV/Movies sound great but the contrast between both often requires a few equalizer settings to be changed or the base will blow you away. I also live in an apartment, and these things are absolute overkill in my room as computer speakers.
  • Pros: Huge base Huge sound Lots of connection options Metal grilled speakers and woofer are great, everythings built well and looks nice. Good mids/highs (imo, I know many think these speakers suck but these people are often Audio-pro peeps)
  • Cons: At low sound, right speaker doesn't work (has to be really low...like bed time listening). Remedy is to turn the speaker volume up, and the volume level down on the device the speakers are playing from. Base ratio is pretty high, would be nice if you turned down the base setting and it just adjus...

Good bass

Daniel K., Newegg
15 September 2014
  • Pros: -Good bass -looks good -volume and bass knob -headphone and mic plug in holes
  • Cons: owned since 2012, cable came loose somehow inside the unit and i had to send it back for repair. Warranty covered for free but it was a long process because of shipping. Came back good. sometimes the volume of the speakers cant compare to the big bass.

The Best Quality to Price Ratio for Computer Speakers

riotglue, Ebay
9 September 2014
  • Summary: I wanted a set of speakers for my college dorm that would provide some power but more sound quality. This is quality, not only in production but the actual speakers produce good sound.

Best. Bang. Ever.

Joseph S., Newegg
4 September 2014
  • Summary: I'm contemplating on two things: 1. Tempt death and defy the wife; keep the Mackies and return these (although they are nice for the price range). 2. Add a sound card to my mobo to see if it'll produce crisper highs/mids.
  • Pros: All the reviews regarding the subs as "filling the whole house" and warnings like "apartment dwellers beware" are true. I live in a 700+ sq. ft 1 BR apartment and the whole place booms like an EDM club. Wait for the drop...and the 808 kicks. I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of complaints f...
  • Cons: Once you've gone the studio monitors route, you tend not to look back. I've been banking my PC sound experience on studio monitors for about 10 years now. Highs/mids are washed out - but I'm "downgrading" from a pair of BAMF Mackie MR5 MK3s due to the wife's complaint about it being big and clunk...

Great speaker set, very short cables

Thomas H., Newegg
17 July 2014
  • Summary: I own the Logitech Z5500, the Logitech X140, and now the Z623 speaker sets. The Z5500 is the best 5.1 computer speaker set I've used in terms of audio quality. The X140 has laughable audio. The Z623 is similar to the Z5500 in terms of audio quality but doesn't produce as rich a sound.
  • Pros: This is a very solid set of speakers. Unless you are an audiophile, these work great for desktop music and gaming. They won't be as awesome as a solid surround sound system, but good surround sound is surprisingly tricky to set up and really only marginally better whereas these are plug-and-play.
  • Cons: The cables are WAY too short. The cables are only about 6 feet long. You should keep speaker equipment, no matter how well-shielded, far away from other computer equipment. For me, that means the subwoofer sits on the other side of a 5.5 foot desk. Then the distance to the on-board audio on the m...
