Excerpt: We were looking for a fairly inexpensive 2.1 monitor system for the edit suites used by our students. I tested the Logitech Z623 THX-Certified 2.1 Speaker System and the Cyber Acoustics CA-3908 2.1 Channel Powered Speaker System with Control Pod.
Cons: Sub woofer is not 130 watts. Sounds more like 20 watts. I bought this because of the watts that the sub woofer puts out thinking it would put out heavy bass, it does not....It puts out good bass for a small bedroom that's about it. If you're looking for a window rattling, wall shaking system, thi...
I have neighbors, and i have to tone DOWN the bass at times.

Summary: The speakers sound great. The subwoofer is fantastic, but static is created momentarily in the left speaker when the audio is adjusted. I believe the problem is the potentiometer. The static persists even with earphones connected to the speakers, so clearly the speaker isnt the issue..
Summary: Subwoofer can be over powered when you turn the bass up. For me i like this because i can set it to the point i know im getting everything i can get out of the sub when i want with out distortion. I dislike the right speaker controls.
Pros: Deep, rich bass. Speakers and subs feel heavy and well made. Covered sub for those like me with pets. Incredibly loud
Cons: Distortion at upper volume/bass levels. For a system priced this high, and THX certified I did not expect to have some distortion. Again this is only at higher volumes and some bass heavy songs.
Summary: I've owned these speakers for about a year now, playing them loudly sometimes. Mostly between 25% and 50%. With bass heavy music the sub woofer clips easily at those levels sometimes depending on the frequency.
Cons: Sub woofer clips on low, bass heavy music and smells after awhile on lower then expected volumes. The satellites smell after 75% volume for a short period of time (Less than half a minute). Mid range frequency could be louder. Don't recommend turning volume past 50% (Speakers) and 100% (Device).
Summary: I love the sound that this speaker set puts out! It took me a little adjusting to get it the way I like it, but that's more a function of my system rather than my speakers. I only have the bass turned about a quarter of the way up and I can feel the thumping in my chest!
Summary: I really recommend getting theses speakers if you are looking for some decent quality speakers. They can get really loud, and the bass has the ability to shake the room some.If you don't like a lot of bass, you can control how much bass the sub-woofer puts out.
Summary: All of the things I have said in this review I already knew before I made this purchase. I always research everything before I buy it, and knew about most of the drawback before I bought them. Just not the how bad the uneven distribution of the wattage would effect overall sound quality.
Pros: This system packs a lot of power with not that bad of a price tag. You won't find a better deal in this price range. 200 watts RMS (continuous) power. That's 35 watts per satellite and 130 watts for the subwoofer. Overall build quality is what you would expect from Logitech. Satellites feel heavy...
Cons: This is a great speaker system with a few issues that Logitech really needs to address. First and foremost, the wattage on all of the speakers should be pulled more tightly together. The subwoofer is 130 watts and each satellite is only 35 watts. Meaning that when you start to crank this thing up...
