Summary: Firstly, the subwoofer eventually burst a couple months later! Secondly, music doesn't sound good from these speakers! The sounds are too high pitched and it doesn't sound good. For other sounds, it is good, but not for music!
Summary: Having had excellent experience with Logitech speakers (Z-4, and Z-2300) I was shocked by the low quality of sound, especially the bass. Cheap, they should be sold in the $20-$50 range. Very disappointing. The first clue something was wrong was how light the sub-woofer was. The solid bass is gone. The sound is tinny at the high end. If you have a good set of Logitech speakers, it doesn't require an educated ear to detect the difference.
Summary: A buddy had the z5900 (I think) system and swore by logitech (boasting the THX certification, which is impressive). I have always been a Bose man, personally, but decided to give logitech a spin for my new computer speakers. I purchased the Z623, as the price seemed somewhat reasonable. The system didn't disappoint too badly. They had a tendency to distort on high volume, but for the office, this was acceptable.
Summary: I'm not a movie watcher or a techie. I'm a music lover. I purchased the Logitech Z-2300 system after reading many 2.1 system reviews. I LOVED them!!! Then the controller went bad. Logitech honored their warranty policy by sending me a Z-623 system to replace the Z-2300, since they no longer make the Z-2300 system. Well that is unfortunate, because this system does not come close to the Z-2300. It's not NEARLY as loud nor clear. It was such a letdown after the 2300.
Summary: Moved house and was looking forward to setting up my Z623 system. Took it out of the box spending considerable carefully time removing packaging etc.. Set it up per instructions. The sub worked fine. The left speaker worked fine. The right speaker was dead. Returning it asap for a refund.
Summary: Horrible quality of sound. It is worth no more than $50. A piece of crap made by Logitech. I seriously advise buyers to listen to it before buying it. It is worse than the speakers on most laptops and not very loud either.
Summary: Don't get me wrong, they sound great for what they are, but I turned them on this morning and the right speaker was crackling, and it just died out within minutes. The volume is not even to the quarter mark (loud enough at that setting) and it just gave out, haven't had a problem until now.
